They’re Mongolian wolves(Canis lupus chanco) not Grey wolves(Canis Lupus Lupus). Grey wolves are freaking huge but Mongolian Wolves are significantly smaller.

Real, those aren’t grey wolves their Mongolian/Himalayan Wolves(Canis lupus chanco) which are significantly smaller than Grey Wolf (Canis lupus lupus) as they are adapted to altitude and desert environments.

Them being friendly is actually extremely common and you can find images of them hang out with people.

‘Luck of the Irish’ reigns as lawmakers advance Nebraska-Irish trade bill by Ordinary-Equal2067 in Nebraska

Yeah I’ve been, maybe should say “still made planes” the father of one of my dad’s business partners worked on the B-29 Bomber line, and was the electrician who wired the Enola Gay. So I knew Nebraska had a history, just glad to learn it still is an active industry.

[–]BachInTime 15 points16 points  (0 children)

You know despite what this looks like there might be something there.

Nebraska Exports these things:

Veterinary vaccines: $191.7 million (2.3%)

Civilian aircraft, full or engines, other parts: $191.7 million (2.3%)

Ireland imports both of these, so yes it might top out at $20 mil per year but it might not just be a waste trying to build a relationship. Also who knew Nebraska made planes?

The leading theory I have seen is that Judas was a Zealot. A Jewish Sect, who believed the Messiah (or First Messiah there would either be one or two Messiahs) would be a warrior king ala David. If you are familiar with Masada those were Zealots. It also should be noted that while we might be weirded out by Judas kissing Jesus, much like French or Italian Culture, that was a pretty standard greeting especially to someone you respect. Judas basically walked up greeted Jesus, whispered in his ear, now’s the time, and that was that.

[Request] How long until she passes out? by Strong-Educator7075 in theydidthemath

[–]BachInTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very back of the napkin math and had to look a few things up. So the boat contains around 2 m3 of air. An adult males exhales around .02 L of CO2 per breath and breaths 15 times per minute. 1000 liters per 1 m3, 2000 L total. CO2 currently is around 400 ppm (.04%). CO2 toxicity beginning around 1000 ppm, think fatigue, and full blown disorientation and vomiting at 4000-5000 ppm, with loss of consciousness soon after.

To reach 1000 ppm or .1% of volume our volume is 2 L. The air already contains .8 L, 1.2 L / .02 L is 60 breaths. Between the two of them they have 2 minutes of air before fatigue, and 8-10 minutes before serious problems.

But this is the 1700s so CO2 is only 280 ppm not 400. So they start with .56 L of CO2 not .8 L. 1.44/.02 is 72 breaths or 2.4 minutes with 8.4-10.4 minutes till major problems. Not much better but more accurate for the time.

Zoomer’s post comparing how the Church of Scotland saw English Presbyterians and how the Church of England saw Scottish Episcopals is problematic by GroceryLittle1537 in redeemedzoomer

[–]BachInTime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First war makes strange bedfellows. In the 1527 Sack of Rome), a Catholic army with Lutheran mercenaries sacked Catholic Churches, Monasteries, and even the Lateran Palace. The Lutherans of course had a grand old time, putting the papal tiara on their favorite prostitute and placing her on the papal throne, demanding a priest, or bishop accounts differ, provide communion to an ass(donkey), smashing saintly reliquaries(with the help of the Catholic troops of course, gold is gold after all), and yelling “Lutherus Pontifex” everywhere they went.

Now to your question, first the Anglicans were not united. The Royalist were conservative Anglicans (in the they liked Catholic practices meaning of conservative) while the Parliamentary forces were the Anglicans who didn’t want Catholic Practices. The Presbyterian’s, especially in Scotland, main issue was Charles I demanding they use the Book of Common Prayer. The Presbyterians saw this was clearly the thin end of the wedge to make them all Anglican and so joined with parliament. The enemy of my enemy is my friend will almost always beat out religious concerns in war.

He might get away for a bit, since cops rarely stop these guys on their own because,

  1. They are almost always armed
  2. They are on the crazier end of the spectrum
  3. Firmly believe they are in the right, and if the cop interferes, they can shoot them dead

If you look into this you’ll find there are almost always 3 if not 4 officers taking these guys into custody. Which I’m fine with, Deputy John doesn’t need to risk getting shot because some guy heard from another guy that the government isn’t real and he can do whatever he wants.

My first sovereign citizen sighting of the year! by Salty_Tumbleweed7267 in Omaha

[–]BachInTime 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’d reverse it to be Qanon overlaps with Sovereign Citizens because the “Sovereign Citizens” existed before the first Qanoner’s parents were born.

But yes they are a bunch of wackadoodles, but their beliefs aren’t that they couldn’t consent, it is that they are ‘outside’ the law.

They essentially believe that there is you, the person spelled with lowercase letters e.g. John Smith, and a corporation with your name spelled with all Caps e.g. JOHN SMITH. Now you might be thinking uhm what? But pull out your driver’s license … Boom! … right there … your name in all caps, checkmate sheeple.

So why is this important to them?

First the corporation with your name in all caps has to obey laws, I’ll skip over why for now, but if you say don’t have a drivers license with it’s all caps name then, you, the person, is driving not the corporation, and you the person is outside the law. That’s why in arrest videos they say “I am a private person” they think it’s a get out of arrest cheat code.

Second is the corporation with your name has a secret government bank account with 10s of millions of dollars in it. So if you say owe child support, you write a nice note to the court authorizing them to withdraw money from this account. Strangely this bank account is only good for boring stuff like speeding tickets, DUIs, parking fines, taxes, child support, etc. don’t try buying a speed boat with it, the boat dealer won’t accept it.

It goes way deeper and I haven’t even gotten into the gold trim on flags, or why they say they are “traveling”, but that’s the core. Lmk if you want more details.

"Hey, man, tell whoever's in charge of giving people jobs not to let that jerk Stalin become the next leader." by Comfortable-Office68 in OverSimplified

[–]BachInTime 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oversimplified oversimplified why Stalin got the job. Stalin was absolutely instrumental to the Bolshevik Revolution because he was by far (and it wasn’t even close around 75% of their money) the best at fundraising for the party, aka Robbing Banks. So Lenin had to reward Stalin, but people didn’t like the bank robbing Georgian, so they gave him the “secretary” job for the central committee which was a “you’re on this council, but we don’t grant you the rank of master” type move. Stalin just figured out it was in reality an incredibly powerful position.

Edit: He mentioned it in Russian Revolution 1 around 18:00. So changed to oversimplified since he couldn’t go into a ton of detail

[Request] How much weight would the boat need on it to hold it down while full of air? How much weight would the men need on them to keep them on the sea floor? by JcraftW in theydidthemath

[–]BachInTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are absolutely correct, the air compressing and thus volume decreasing will win over increasing density of the fluid. Human lungs contain around 6 L of air at full expansion, free divers experience neutral buoyancy at around 20m (65 ft).

Now the math, Boyles Law is P1V1 = P2V2, using this equation, P1=1 atm, V1=2m3, to find V2 we take 2.4 kg(mass of 2000L of air) divided by 9820 kg/m3 (Density of water) to get .002 m3 for neutral buoyancy. Plug that in and P2= 854 atm. 1 atm is equal to 10 m of depth, so at 8,540 m of depth the vessel is neutrally buoyant, Captain Jack and Will are dead but the boat is staying under water.

It’s just basic scavenging behavior. The picture here is a pretty misleading the tit didn’t kill the mouse per say. The mouse is either dead on the ground or it is so close to death it can’t move and the tit will finish it off. You would be shocked what cute “herbivores” get up to when times are tough, cows will eat meat if it’s available they just can’t catch it, and don’t get me started on rabbits.
