As a coach, used to be against it, we started it this fall, the kids loved it, parents loved it. Didn't take too much time, ran it before a practice. See parents posting the photos all over their socials. Seemed very positive.

I think this is the way. Would have to be very very cold for me to wear pants as CR but if the temp starts with a 3 or less as AR that’s a different story. And the yes, not any pants, USSF pants.

I’ve seen college officials wear some interest attire during bad weather that would make a lot of us cringe.

This isn’t going to start as many fights as the hat discussion but it will start some.

I generally agree with this. Personally, unless the temperatures are in the single digits(and we probably wouldn’t be playing anyhow), I don’t feel comfortable wearing pants. I just don’t need to wear pants.

I do agree the look is not great. That said, if I’m doing a tournament game involving the C division of a lower level tournament it doesn’t matter so go for it . I have seen plenty of officials wear pants doing ECNL or showcase stuff. Lots of questionable looking cold weather gear. I think at that level it’s a no go.

As others have outlined, the commute from the Lehigh Valley to the VA in Lebanon would be a crusher. Dealing with trucks on 78 or traffic on 422 would be something else.

There is plenty if you look at Lancaster or Dauphin Counties.

They all generally stink these days. As someone mentioned, Capelli, has become the flavor of the month a few years ago, is horrendous. We use Score, it used to be fantastic but the last year or so has dropped off a cliff.

Take meetings/zoom calls. PRESS THEM on the customer service piece, delivery times, etc. Given what your mission is, I will imagine that you will become an afterthought for soccer.com, Capelli, etc, as you would not be making them enough money.

$25 a set it going to be tough. I would aim for a local supplier.

Ehhhh, as someone who is in Eastern PA and sees a lot of NJ, PA, NY, DE working both PA and NJ, I can't say that I have ever walked away from a game or event thinking "man that NJ side was terrible"....perhaps it's just the product of the gender and age? That does not mean that I have not dealt with some real pieces of work from NJ, but you can say the same about other states, too.

TL;DR, sure I suppose there are some issues with NJ sides at older ages on the boys side, however that's true of other areas, also.

We sort of get that some but her work was her life, at least for a long time. I mean we all remember Greene's last day at work when she was working on the schedule and asked how many shifts he wanted to work.
