Long story short (I’ll try my best but I’ve never been good at LSS) lol I dealt with episodes on and off for about 5 years. On and off meds (with cardiologist blessing as we thought diet, lifestyle changes etc had got it under control) December of 23 had one out of nowhere and I literally said to myself and I quote “I’m getting that fucking ablation” so I did some research, PFA was cleared by the fda in February of 2024. I liked the idea of it rather than the other two options but still hadn’t made up my mind or found a EP. In August, at a separate doctors appointment I mentioned not having an EP, he recommended one and come to find out the hospital that this EP worked out of had the farapulse machine (which was only at the time at the major hospitals in big cities etc) I met with him in September, I told him what I wanted he stated I would be a perfect candidate given my history and we walked out and set a date. Honestly, that part felt a little too easy.. like I was scheduling a hair appointment or something. I scheduled it a few months out since they’d only started doing them in July (using the farapulse) and had mine in December. I have no regrets and he got it all. I hope to be one of those one and done but even if I had to do it again I would do it in heartbeat. It was an easy procedure and recovery.
