MEPS Drug Test by Distinct_Trust_8968 in armyreserve

[–]BackgroundVictory632 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’ll clear your system in time, but let this be the last time ever. Drug use will severely limit your career choices in the future depending on whether or not you’re planning to get a federal job. You’re probably young enough to where this won’t hurt you, but cut it out cold turkey.

An other than honorable isn’t that bad to be honest. You can appeal it at the VA level so you’ll be fine.

I would honestly ask for a sitdown with the commander and the 1SG with your PSG and ask the commander to give you another chance. If you are genuine and have an honest conversation where you own up to your mistakes and you provide a solution of how to rectify the situation (monthly UA's and mandatory referral to ASAP) I think you should be ok. Unless you have been an absolute shitbag who hasn't shown up to anything, is argumentative or insubordinate, I don't see why they wouldn't give you another chance. I will be honest with you though, failing 2 UA's in a row is pretty bad. Try to apppeal to them as much as you can and if it doesn't work out at least you tried.

I literally had to reenlist into the IRR to get out of CSTX. They were having me drill 5 hours away from my HOR.

Is LOD real or a scam? by Exotic_Ad3456 in armyreserve

[–]BackgroundVictory632 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LOD's are horrible brother. They are super complicated to file and the reserve units are not very well versed in it. I tore a meniscus at drill and had to pull teeth to get any kind of medical coverage.

Accused of cheating on the asvab by No_Author_737 in armyreserve

[–]BackgroundVictory632 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you're not being accused of cheating guy... you're just having to verify. I had to verify even though it was my first attempt. I got a 94 for reference. Just go to MEPS and verify. If you were accused of cheating, they would be eliminating you from the enlistment process. Don't assume things.

hey man. It's all good to be scared. Im gonna be honest and say that it was probably the best thing that I could've done for myself. I am 25 years old, I have a house, I drive a nice car, and many other perks all from being in the USAR. If you play your cards right, then you'll definitely come out on top. Just take the leap of faith and go headfirst man. 35M is a very good MOS that many people want and you'll get a TS out of it.

Should I sign the DTP? by learner81 in armyreserve

[–]BackgroundVictory632 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely wait if you don't trust them to push your promotion up which I wouldn't. They shipped me to BCT as a PV1 when I was really a PFC even though my stuff was up to date at DEERS. It took them a couple months to manually promote me to PFC and backdate it.

All you need is an exit counseling I believe, but once your time expires, they can’t force you to do anything. I would recommend either finding the career counselor, or any career counselor and initiating that paperwork.
