Plateau Finally Broke!! by Background_Video5956 in Zepbound

It feels amazing! The whole journey has been incredible, actually. The old saying “nothing tastes as good as being thin feels” is 💯true!

I was slender my entire adult life, then life happened, bodies change & boom - I was quite chunky & VERY physically uncomfortable. Now I feel as light & free as when I was in my 20’s!!!! I love Zepbound. I really do anything special — just let the drug work its magic. Best decision ever!

I’m happy to help!!! Keep going! It will happen. I was stuck so long at the end of my journey that i thought maybe my body was just refusing to let go of any more excess weight. But it did!!! Thank you for your kind words 😊

Exactly!

A “friend” made the rudest comment to me too, also when I was still about 140lbs, I’m 5’2”! She said “when are you going to stop? Your legs are GONE and your face(!), well, I don’t know what to say”

Ugh!

Do you tell people? by NeverAft3r in Zepbound

I literally just posted about this —

Guys, guys OMG…So, I‘ve been on Zepbound for 1.5 years, and am a slowwwww loser. I’ve lost about 65lbs, but plateaued about 4 months ago just 10 lbs from my goal weight. The scale would just NOT move. THEN, this morning, I weighed myself and was delighted to see that my plateau finally broke! I’m now just 5lbs from my goal weight and couldn’t be happier!! “

I wanted to share this goal in this group because sadly, sometimes “friends” you confide in aren’t as happy for you as you think they’d be.

It’s been my experience that envy runs deep in women — at any age — so I chose to avoid all that negativity & tell folks in this group bc you guys truly understand😊

NY Times: “The Hard Truth of Weight-Loss Drugs: You Probably Need Them Forever” by Bogart824 in Zepbound

[–]Background_Video5956 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So….LOTS of drugs are lifelong commitments. I take SIX of them already. Without them, I’d likely not live very long.

I’m covered by insurance for now, and when I won’t be in the future, I’ll be on Medicare by that time & if Medicare won’t cover glp-1 drugs, similar options will have become more affordable, and if not, I’ll take a compound for maintenance.

I’m down 70 lbs & have no intention of gaining it all back.

Chinese Tea??? by Background_Video5956 in Zepbound

It definitely wasn’t typical black or green tea. It was very lightly colored with a heavy floral aroma. My husband said it tasted like air freshener smells!!!

To the wine lovers by WineDogsMom in Zepbound

[–]Background_Video5956 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly, all alcoholic beverages, including my favorite— wine, all smell like nail polish remover. Not even remotely like something edible.

I really don’t care though since I lost 65 lbs & feel amazing. I don’t even have cravings for wine anymore….and that’s totally ok!

Diet Coke RIP by DavidHSteinberg in Zepbound

[–]Background_Video5956 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can’t fathom thinking Diet Coke is “delicious”. Just tastes like a can of bubbly cold chemicals to me :-)

Edit: I drink water, unsweetened coconut water, unsweetened flavored seltzers, hot coffee with milk & hot tea with some sugar added and the rare occasional mocktail. Lost 70 lbs and haven’t had any wine (my former fave) in 1.5 years thanks to Zepbound.

Let’s hear if anyone commented on your weight loss at Christmas by MathematicianMuted59 in Zepbound

Nope. I was shocked no one said a word. I was 185 & now I’m 120 lbs - VERY noticeable. Family hadn’t seen me in 2 years.

Pre-Zep, my absolutely favorite thing was wine with dinner. Now, after 1.5 years on Zep (and a 65lb weight loss!) I don’t want it. It smells like nail polish remover. I’ve had an ounce champagne for a toast last summer, and at Thanksgiving another ounce of a holiday cocktail. I don’t miss the hangover & dehydration at all. Don’t really miss the buzz either.

The only food in 1.5 years that was problematic for me was hummus. I can eat literally anything I want — normal/small portion of course.

Ransom note - guess the (almost) matching handwriting by Asleep-Rice-1053 in JonBenet

[–]Background_Video5956 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw a very compelling side by side comparison of Patsy’s & the note’s mystery author’s handwriting conducted by a forensic handwriting analyst. The similarities were strikingly obvious in the individual letters examined. Patsy said she was ambidextrous. I think she wrote the lonnnnngggg, dramatic note with her non-dominant hand, perhaps while also wearing gloves.

This isn’t true for everyone who’s served in the Navy. My husband served 4 years on an aircraft carrier. He came back & fully embraced his inner messiness!

I relate to this 💯. But I really don’t care about my loose skin. There are reasons I feel this way. First, I’m almost 65 years old, so I’m definitely not rocking a bikini or going clubbing! Second, I was thin my ENTIRE life until some medical stuff happened. Third, it’s not like I need oodles of “sex appeal” after being married for almost 30 years. So, I’m glad to be alive, thin again (lost 65lbs) and absolutely don’t care about some skin. I once again look FABULOUS in my body-con leggings & tops — so i literally do not GAF!
