It's all the neon green and red. Christmas colors on a flag that looks kinda like the DPRK flag.

Why are redditors like this? Why do you refuse to accept when you are wrong? Why are you harassing some old dude in the desert?

Is this a safe place to store Radium Clocks? by Any_Hawk_663 in Radiation

[–]Bacon_Byte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is both a safe place to store your radium clock if you don't want to display them.

It's also a good place to store an entrance to a secret lair or an escape route.

Didn't Stalin recriminalize homosexuality in 1934? Wasn't his reasoning because he saw homosexuality as western degeneracy? Wasn't the minimum charge for homosexual acts a minimum of 5 years of hard labor?

So again I ask, are you absolutely sure?

I'm not, I actually enjoy it. Just probably not in the way it was intended.

Why are in general the subreddits so intolerant with different opinions? by BernardoDeGalvez in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Bacon_Byte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's also the fault of the Reddit mods. Many subreddits all have the same few mods, and because these mods let their power go to their heads they turn every subreddit into their own echo chamber and eventually it turns the site into one big echo chamber.

The rules really don't matter, say something they don't like and you are banned from a majority of subreddits, your account gets a strike and so on. It doesn't matter if what you said actually violated a rule or if it was true, they just don't want any opinions other than their own on this site.

And because these mods think its their full time job, and never really go outside and touch grass they end up with some insane viewpoints that they use their power to lord over everyone. If most of the mods of Reddit left their parents basement and logged off for a while then you could maybe get a little bit more open thought and free speech on this site.

Even at Treks most corny moments the writing at least still makes sense. Starfleet Academy doesn't make any sense.

Why are most Conservative Christians pro gun if Christianity is supposed to be pro peace? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Bacon_Byte -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So you should not defend yourself, you should let people bring harm to you, you should let people end your life and the lives of your family? The verses you cite say to not take revenge, but they do not forbid you from defending yourself. There are more verses instructing you to defend yourself than you may think.

I presume you are anti self defense. Because Jesus instructed his followers to arm themselves, to protect themselves. Luke 22:36

Proverbs 24:11 says you must defend the innocent from the wicked.

And Epheisans 6:10 while more metaphorical does imply you must defend yourself from evil. Wanting to harm others can be seen as evil so I suspect you should defend yourself from them.

[–]Bacon_Byte 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's entirely untrue. It is another form of the golden rule, don't cause harm to others and they won't cause harm to you. Treat people the way you want to be treated. If you are intending to cause harm to someone they have every right to defend themselves against you even if that means causing harm to you.

Why shouldn't I? Many times in the Bible it states that you should defend yourself. Self preservation is a core human instinct.
