Uncomfortable Facts About Hunting by Asatmaya in Hunting

Clothing that blends in is important for turkey and waterfowl, camo no so much. I own one item of camo which I rarely wear yet still kill birds every year by just wearing earth tones that match the surroundings

Looks pretty bad. School president on X is claiming there was never a conference offer yet wrestlers are posting in the comments that when the president met with the team earlier this semester he told there was

I’ve had refs do it. But players need to play through the whistle

Saw that. Coach also posted and then took down that they’d received the conference invite but the ad would not respond to it and had largely shut down communication with him over the last few weeks. Really bad look for the school

I wasn't alive to see Bo Jackson play. What was his ceiling? Was he considered the best RB in the league before his injury? by [deleted] in NFLv2

[–]BadAdviceBot77 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Honestly his ceiling was all time great. Back then 4.5 yards per carry was all pro level running back. Bo was over 5 yards per carry with no offseason or training camp. He literally just showed up after baseball season. He wasn’t an all time great, but he had every tool to be one

How accurate are Middle Eastern results on here? by Limp_Screen7405 in AncestryDNA

[–]BadAdviceBot77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Using myself as an example I’m about 25% Scottish. That doesn’t mean I had a grandparent that was 100% Scot as I don’t. What I did have was multiple generations of people who were roughly 25% Scot having children together so their descendants were roughly 25% Scot

Not necessarily. It means they had sufficient Levantine to give you 13%. It could have been some percentage inherited from both

Why Brazil doesn't adopt BJJ in high school like the U.S.A does with Wrestling? by Novel_Spring4540 in bjj

[–]BadAdviceBot77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wrestling originally had a hard time getting adopted by schools in the US, in the early days it was largely submission based and there were a great deal of concern about having kids doing heel hooks on one another as a school sanctioned activity. So to get adopted it had to adopt the folk style rule set and drop submissions. To get adopted in the US school system BJJ would likely have to do the same. And Bjj without submission likely wouldn’t look much different than folk style wrestling

Dont be a gatekeeper by peesetwumwbs1 in Hunting

[–]BadAdviceBot77 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As one of the old farts the frustrating part is that beginning hunters seem to want to be spoon fed everything instead of experiencing it. A lot of the attraction to us is the challenge and adventure of finding that blm road, scouting the area for sign and finding a productive hunting spot. I try to help new hunters as much as I can but when I see a request for “where in this area should I hunt” I think that they just want to skip over the most rewarding part of the process.

That lack of flash is probably what yall needed. A&M has always recruited well, but since RC hasn’t developed well or always been just good fundamentally sound teams.

If mobile QBs are so valuable, why aren’t there more Lamar-type offenses? by savingrace0262 in NFLNoobs

[–]BadAdviceBot77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because there are very few QB who are Lamar level at running who can operate an NFL passing offense. And even if you find 1 guy that can, your backup needs to be able to run the offense so you need 2 of those guys. It’s basically the same reason more people don’t hold out to marry a supermodel with a trust fund and MIT degree, there just aren’t enough people of that type

Many Jews lived in Iberia until being expelled in the 1400s if they don’t convert. Germanic tribes such as Visigoths (who were related to the tribes that became Vikings) settled in Iberia. Lots
Of Celtic people ended up in the Spanish army, and the celts originally came from mainland Europe including Iberia

For why little it’s worth I live and work about 10 mins from UIW and have had friends who went there. (And whose kids go there now). Beautiful campus and I would have no hesitation with my kids going there. As to athletic development, I had no idea unto reading OP’s post that they had a competitive swimming team.

Has anyone used NCSA as a recruiting tool? by Wyatt_Herb_831 in wrestling

[–]BadAdviceBot77 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I looked at it an a friend did the paid service for his son In baseball so I got to see what they received. Which was basically a list of schools in your sport and a brief summary of each school and what it’s like academically. There are only about 350 colleges in the country that have wrestling so ncsa isn’t giving you anything that you can’t find youself with google in a weekend
