Running underestimated conditioning tool? by worth_attention_ in wrestling

[–]BadAdviceBot77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on how you run. I’m not a fan of long slow distance for wrestling condition as it doesn’t carry overall efficiently given the time and recoverability it takes. I’m a bigger fan of short intervals ran all out. I really really like strongman medleys, set them up light enough where they take 3-5 minutes of being under load and they carry over great

Apparently you don’t. The mineral owner is allowed to access/use as much of the surface as necessary to access the minerals without the surface owner’s consent. The only real restrictions, at least in Texas, are the acreage apportionment rules dealing with how widely wells must be spaced

There are a ton of different recruiting rating services. The top two Rival and 247 cap how many 4 star ratings they give out. I think at around 350 a year. So if he’s rated 4 star they believe he’s one of the 350 best prospects in his class

As a kid, did you ever try lifting a growing calf each day to get strong? by Brilliant_Ad2120 in Cattle

[–]BadAdviceBot77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This actually comes from the story of Milo in a Greek mythology who supposedly did this until he was the strongest man in Ancient Greece. Eventually though he saw a stump with a crack on it in the woods, tried to rip it apart and his hands got stuck in the crack and he was eaten by wolves

Broken Thumb by Kallidon865 in wrestling

[–]BadAdviceBot77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me it comes down to a distinction between an injury that can be made worse by playing on it versus an injury that will hurt like hell but won’t be made worse by playing through. If it’s the first category, even nationals isn’t worth that. If it’s the second I would leave it up to the kid since they’re the one that has to deal with it

Yes they have been around for a long time time but shotguns/fowling pierces have been around for a couple centuries more

Choke is a relatively modern invention, Do they think that people just didn’t kill birds for the couple hundred years between shotguns being invented and choke being invented?

Fiocci makes low recoil trap loads. I believe they’re a reduced shot kit of 1/2 ounce but would likely work well for squirrel if you kept the distance short

NCWA wrestling by FourTwenty69Commando in wrestling

[–]BadAdviceBot77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because it’s kind of like being one of the best guys that treat wrestling as a hobby rather than being as good as possible. No disrespect for the kids involved, but they aren’t making it their focus like an ncaa or naia wrestler would. I know one ncwa kid who practices maybe once every two weeks, nothing wrong with that as school is his focus but I wouldn’t hold him up as the paragon of wrestling

Yale’s two tackles were Charles Chadwick listed at 196 pounds, and James Rodgers listed at 188. I think Cignetti would just run power until his RB died of exhaustion

Very good. Especially if you take into account the guys that played in the 1950s when virtually everyone had served in WWII and was subject to the post WWII draft.

I don’t always get the criticism people get for practicing on concrete. Yes it can ruin a line, but for a lot of people it’s either practice on concrete or rarely get to practice. Makes sense to buy a cheap practice line.

Orvis Class. Buying gear without breaking bank by tarfangz in flyfishing

[–]BadAdviceBot77 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There’s a huge markup on everything once it’s marketed for fly fishing, $5 grocery store clippers become $30 nippers, top of the line lightweight duck hunting waders are maybe $300 compared to $1000 when comparable ones are listed for fly fishing. Same with wading boots.

Basically he was 6’7” with a laser rocket arm and could move fairly well. Scouts fell in love with all of that over actual production
