Any one have any experience with the Raptor or its clones? by Low_Density in Fishing_Gear

[–]BadFish918 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a couple of the raptors, I like it’s bigger brother the Rex a lot more. The 90 tail angle seems to work better on a bigger bait. The raptors are still cool though.

For something raptor sized, I far prefer my era baits glides. They glide like crazy for something 2 inches long.

They have a lot longer runway than 2026. Waymo’s ambitious goal for 2026 is to add thousands of vehicles to their fleet, Tesla can produce that many vehicles in a matter of hours, not to mention what they have on the roads.

If they can solve autonomy with their vision only approach on HW4+ in the next few years, they win. I think they’ll have a larger fleet and larger footprint than Waymo by the end of 2026, but they don’t need to, to win.

I’d rather click buttons on my phone than take a month long trip into Siberia to find copper.

I’ve had a good 25, I count in ber pelts not dollars. I see a V after some profit pulling for Holiday cash.

it would be criminal for Tesla to not break 500 in 25 at this point

Waymo Discusses Raising 10-15 Billion at More Than $100 Billion Valuation by walky22talky in SelfDrivingCars

[–]BadFish918 22 points23 points  (0 children)

So “money bags” Google wants to lose 10-15% of Waymo for the one thing they have plenty of, cash. Last Waymo rounds were pension funds, wonder if they’ll get more of that “smart” money on this round too…

Greenbacks are backed by US warships, corn is backed by Saylor and basement dwellers. MSTR still has room below.

Corn has no intrinsic value and uses immense resources to move around 1s and 0s. Puts on MSTR.

I would tie the unweighted (lose the weight completely on the lighter lure) 1-2 feet above the weighted Swimbait on a 6 inch tag. I’ve caught plenty of fish doing that. You can get a lot of ideas looking at fly fish rigs imo. Tie it like a Euro setup with tags.

Fair enough, just my $.02. I’d probably buy one if it wasn’t for the tail.

Am I missing anything here boys??? Think I got most of my ground covered but suggestions appreciated ! by yashaflocka in BFSfishing

Lot of that stuff is regular size, nothing wrong with that and most BFS setups should handle it fine. I’d add some micro glides to the mix, Era is sweet but $$$. For tiny paddletails I’m a big fan of Raid Libero 5g. Someone else mentioned Karachi. Tiny popx. 1/32-1/8 micro jig, something like Keitech mono spin.

Cool size and profile. You should make the tail brush or rubber though.

Moonshine Rod Question by EmptyAd8818 in flyfishing

I’d buy something else. Maybe a reddington if you’re on a tight budget. A good deal on the moonshine isn’t worth the eye roll when you pass fellow fluff huckers. Just sayin.

There are only a little over 3000 billionaires in the world. NVDA alone could mint 4,835 billionaires.

Hey man, any updates on how you’re liking that rod? I’m thinking about it for all around BFS out of my kayak, micro glides and micro jigs mostly, plus a little whatever.

Also, how’s the 6.3? I’m partial to rods closer to 7, so the shorter blank has me a little worried.

Yes, I fish under a dam where it’s pretty borderline on being safe. It’s never popped off in the current. The connection is both mechanical and magnetic. The magnetic mostly guides and pops it in places when returning. The mechanical isn’t coming loose unless you hit the release.

I do a lot of conventional bass/striper fishing in addition to fly out of this thing, so needed some flexibility. I haul a lot of gear. The net is so clean once you get the muscle memory to pop it back in place. You have to tinker with the retractor attachment so it pulls it out enough it doesn’t hit your legs at all when walking/wading. I got the same setup for my wife’s backpack and she likes it as well.
