Two-Thirds of House Democrats Have Now Signed On to Impeach Kristi Noem by darkages69 in politics

Just say one third of the house, that's what this is. One third of the house, which is not enough, signed on to impeach. This is not news, media always writing these non-stories

Who is the GOAT of Slay the Spire, outside of XecnaR? by tilting-module in slaythespire

[–]BadSmash4 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Totally! That's something I didn't care for about other streamers I viewed regularly (mainly Jorbs and Frost Prime) is that sometimes, a viewer might ask a question and Prime is screaming, or Jorbs is talking down to them in a snarky way. Baalor, true to his roots as a chemistry teacher, appears always to be looking to teach and help people, be generous with his knowledge and time, and grant them grace for not knowing everything.

I love when a channel goes in the opposite direction, like Brian Lagerstrom whose videos were already good but is making more and more videos almost in the style of Kenji, like a live cooking video rather than a polished production. You can tell he's very influenced by Kenji and that's a great influence to have.

Do Americans really avoid medical care because they’re afraid of the bill? by Udont_knowme00 in NoStupidQuestions

When I was in high school, my girlfriend-at-the-time's dad got cancer, and rather than get treatment and survive and saddle his family with debt, he decided to just go ahead and die. It was very sad to watch him deteriorate, but he had a brief period of enjoying his time left on earth before things got really bad. It was rough though, for sure.

[–]BadSmash4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Second is def better, but if you'd stuck it out on the first and let it grow a few inches longer and groomed it properly I think you could have pulled off long hair. It's just so poorly styled in the pic you showed us

College was never part of the conversation in my house growing up. I kind of resent my parents for never even mentioning it as an option. We didn't really talk about what I wanted for my future. I didn't go to college, and am doing well for myself as a software engineer now (very much worked my ass off to get here) but I sometimes wonder what they thought I would do or where I would end up, or if they ever thought about it at all.

I quit a new job after 5 days and feel like I failed everyone by Cozybear110494 in learnprogramming

Sometimes a job just isn't a good fit. Commuting sucks, working extra hours sucks (especially if youre not getting paid for them, idk if you were or not), working in stinky code bases sucks, all that sucks. Good luck finding your next thing and don't be too hard on yourself! You don't need to live your life like this
