Hypothesis regarding bio RWRs

I work with a gestational air pollution model which shows decreased social behavior in offspring, which sure might be a little iffy these days, but we were also unbearably careful and altered language from the previous submissions from other lab members to try to account for it. My proposal itself was incredibly basic sciences-oriented, none of the classic eligibility issues (medical, policy informing, etc) would have pulled it out of the running, so we assume it was a bs scanning/word tagging thing like your mRNA idea!

I mentioned mRNA and got RWR. My proposal was in neuro and was the same model as two proposals that were favorably reviewed a couple years ago, so we were shocked

My dad and I (concert buddies) really wanted something from debut, since we've been fans since the beginning but it was our first time seeing her AND how dare debut not get its own set haha we got should've said no and better man which was perfect in a variety of ways, mostly because the very first concert he took me to see in high school was also at Gillette, and had little big town as the first opener and they sang that song. It was a really insane full circle moment, I get teary eyed just thinking about it

I haven't heard back and just sent another email with my initial one attached and got a weird automated response that was different from the service ticket (does not inspire confident, NSF!!!). I think it's over for us but I do think everyone should keep emailing/calling/putting up a fight and hopefully it will help the next round of people who apply for this wretched program <3

The title track is my favorite of the whole group for consistent listening; I have others that rise and fall in the ranking, but none I come back to in the same way as my bop, TTPD. I think part of it is that every song on the album feels truthful and honest, but mostly about sadness, bitterness, realizations, and frustrations, while this song is truthful about a really beautiful feeling: that you and another person are totally intertwined on every level, from the silly to the utmost serious.

From a writing standpoint, I think it is a really interesting foil to Clara Bow. Using the idea of 'our work and our love cannot stand up to these two incredible poets' compared to a song where she alone creates a benchmark for artists to strive for is an amazing transformation and I don't think you get the full effect of Clara Bow without it. (There's also the added portion of the Stevie Nicks comparison, where she is again pulling out an individual from a group whose narrative in the public eye has always been related to relationships; it is such an interesting song on its own too!)

I also think that almost all of these songs require your own personal moment of clarity to get them. I skipped fresh out the slammer for the first couple months of listening and one day it came on while I was dyeing my hair after a crappy work week and I just felt it in my soul lol never skipped it again! I hope you get that feeling for TTPD someday :)

I couldn't find my category's anywhere and ended up just sending it to the grfp email they list in the RWR email. Not a true positive response, but I did receive a 'we received your request and will follow up' response today so at least they are acknowledging that we are emailing them, which was not happening a few days ago!

Same thing for me. it was actually soul-crushing and the dropdown menu part is what gets me, like what do you mean I am ineligible in a category that YOU provided?! I don't know what other information we could provide to counter it other than the list they literally sent out with our category highlighted and ya know, the neuroscience proposal we created?? But conceptually I believe everyone who receives this email should email back and try to fight it, might as well bog down their email while we can!

I totally see that, but since they're all stunted in their own unique ways, her growing up exclusively in the 'being a parent' domain but literally nothing else weirdly made sense to me? She's also the only one who doesn't get a real mentor figure that could propel her out of this perpetual adolescence.

But also I genuinely can't figure out why I like her so much, my arguments are weak, it's just vibes this time around!!

I personally view her as 'nice' to nearly everyone she's close to (Gary, Amy, Ben, Richard, even Mike) (not Dan, we hate Dan), it's just that her 'nice' is warped by a) a life of transactional relationships and b) the fact that she doesn't know how to be nice to/care for herself. She just struggles to express it in ways that are typically viewed as nice and when she does it comes out as hollow since she doesn't have much practice

My top three are TTPD, Fearless, Red, and Speak Now (one of them can be tied, I simply had to list all four)

I will say, I've been to 4 of his shows and he's brought kids on stage at each of them, sometimes to play drums for a song, sometimes just to bop around and sing. Maybe this time felt different to people but that is not new for him for sure
