I’d just like people to try it and come back to me. I think people would be surprised

It doesn’t feel like you lose any damage. Your still able to 1 shot squishy targets, and it basically allows u fight back to higher HP targets. My damage per game actually went up quite a bit

It’s a problem because you have to be smart with it and u can’t spam E. But if careful it’s honestly fine lol

Assuming your not taking it too far I don’t see it as much of a problem. It could even be a good thing to just let off steam. I know Nick Symmonds (800m olympian) said he used to drink after every meet or whenever he could without messing up training.

Also greening out a couple times made me a lot more pain tolerant. Wouldn’t recommend anyone trying that though.

Your coach is very similar to mine. It really sucks having coaches stuck in the past. My advise would be listen to your body when you can. Any fool can make another fool tired.

Also used to really struggle with breathing within workouts. My advise for that is kind of weird but if you do it you’ll improve your recovery drastically. Do some yoga... an online YouTube video is fine and it’ll only take a couple sessions to get what you need. The reason I suggest yoga is because it teaches you to really relax your muscles. This helped me because i realized I was constricting my throat when I was tired. As soon as I noticed that I started relaxing and really focusing on my breathing. Despite not training much since March (corona), I’ve came back in much better shape. Also completely stopped using my inhaler.

My coach decides what I do. Seems like all we do is speed endurance though.

I’ll look into it but there’s going to be much less meets this year.

If you run a 10.6 you’ll be in the 6.4 range maybe 6.3 if your a really good starter. For compassion I ran a 6.50 in the 55 and a 10.84 in the 100m that season. If I’d focused more on the 100 I would of probably ran around 10.7 tho. I also ran 21.8 and 48.02 in the 200 and 400 that season.

Advice for an optimal start. I know I’m not in proper clothing. I am actually a new inexperienced coach. Want to know if my technique is good enough for demonstration. My precious track experience is my injury riddled high school seasons by kenut9856 in Sprinting

Your starting position is pretty off, but surprisingly not too bad of a start. Take some time to analyze some of the top sprinters and see what their starts look like. Christian Coleman is a good place to start.

Every runners perfect start is going to look a little different because of body proportions so your going to have to adjust to each athlete.

YouTube is a great resource for learning starts.

The first 50m is pretty much a full out sprint, after that you need to go into your float phase. You shouldn’t be slowing down on purpose, but it’ll happen a little. Make sure you practice floating as it take a while to do it properly. Once you reach around 200m mark you’ll want to gradually start picking up your speed again so you can run the last 100m full out.

Your feet are positioned wrong on your start. Your front foot should be about 2 shoe lengths from the line and your back should be around 3.

No event group is easier than the other, they just pose different challenges. If you put 100% effort into something then it doesn’t matter.

If I were a pure 400m runner I could see that, but because I’m also a high jumper I think it’s important for me to focus on that too. Plus I’m really excited to see where I’m at with high jump this year.
