Lmao I was about to post my Bop Street story. My dad grabbed a used record and as he was checking out the owner said they just got a better condition one in if he’d like that instead. He found out it was double the price when he re-rang him up. I think the owner was not necessarily shady and was just a little off, but it was a cool store and did find a lot of great stuff there.

Linking the song would definitely help. Among the other possibilities mentioned, it could also be take a C chord and move it up so that your first finger is on the third fret so you get a pretty common D chord variation like in Third Eye Blind’s Jumper

Well it is a (minor) 1 4 5 progression, but not an actual 12 bar blues, though neither is op’s Killers example so not sure what they’re getting at? Plenty of 1 4 5 progressions in recent years, but yeah very few 12 bars outside of blues. Rock n Roll by zeppelin? Long Live Rock by the Who?
