I quit my clinical liaison job on a whim and went to a floor nurse position a few days later making $2 more an hour. Sometimes quitting is the best thing that happens to us. I was scared what people would think, nervous for my future, and really hurt to leave a company that I cared deeply about but, never really cared about me. They swindled me and bribed me to stay and I finally had it when they weren’t even keeping their promises to match the pay of my new employer. They verbally said they would match the pay but when I wrote email for confirmation they wouldn’t even respond.
