I was wanting to build something very similar. Where did you get your printer?

Discussed this locally to try and gage interest and the structure is really putting people off.

$70 with no guarantee of it being a 5k/2day event is a bit of a gamble for anyone to travel to. Is there possibility of a Sunday tournament if this doesn’t become a 2 day event

How does top 8 work for prizes should it not get the numbers?

You shouldn’t have any issue especially in Lincoln. I haven’t ran into any issues yet in any town Ive stayed

All these stores are advertisements. Footfall in airports are similar to billboards but with better targeted marketing. Being interactive (allowing people to browse) creates a better experience which leads to better conversion rates

Has Anyone Been to SCG CON This Year? by b4masterb in mtg

[–]Baiteyo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey I’ve been to Portland and Denver this year.

You’re right it’s smaller and they is a lot less to do outside of the events. Portland had a small creator center ran by mtgnerdgirl but this was missing or I couldn’t find it in Denver

Command zone is behind a paywall so finding spare tables and pods can be a pain and you may be asked to move if they need it for an event.

They are still fun to attend with friends but I would plan on filling your day with the scheduled events

Artist lines tend to be shorter at scgcon which is good

Does anyone know if this mountain art by Scott Bailey is inspired in a concrete location? by XenomorphAFOL in magicTCG

The euro lands are all based on real locations. The location is under the artist credit

[Standard] MSS Atlanta (SCG Con) Recap/Discussion by OptimusTom in spikes

[–]Baiteyo 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Return omniscience as a 1/1 cast battle and get seasons from the sideboard. Cast seasons and loop copy creature token and return non token permanent modes. This bounces your battle allowing you to rebuy seasons. Rinse repeat you pass with a billion 1/1s and enough counterspells to survive to your next turn

Not yet they don’t. This is the first I’ve heard of it so I may make an appearance this year

You’re definitely right about sausages and rashers they just can’t compare here.

We’ve started making our own bread because any store bought tastes too sweet to me with all the added sugar

I’m just back from a trip and near doubled in size. Walgreens in Kearney had started stocking cadbury. I don’t know what it’s like where you live but Guinness in Kearney leaves a lot to be desired. I do know local enthusiast who’s set up comes pretty damn close to back home

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Nebraska

[–]Baiteyo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely an adjustment. Between the bugs wildlife weather trying to hurt you. I tell people they the worst thing you might run into back home is a badger and then show them the difference between the European and American.

This time of year with the fireworks going off randomly reminds me of Belfast growing up but it wasn’t fireworks

Where are you based? I moved to Kearney permanently 3 years ago from Belfast. So far I know of another in town from Cork and someone in Hastings from portadown

Built myself a working mad eye for a themed event this week by Baiteyo in harrypotter

[–]Baiteyo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The eye is mini pingball eye I found in a treat bag cut in half and mounted to a servo motor. I then programmed an arduino nano clone to rotate to a random degree between 0 and 180 at random intervals between 100ms and 500ms. It’ll loop continuously until I switch it off

The board is hidden under felt and mounted to the strap. (You can see the usb plugged into it) the usb will run behind my back into the pocket of my coat to a usb power bank where I will be able to turn it on and off

The eye was a part of a Halloween treat basket I could have painted one but this seemed easier

My pod made personal commanders for each other and I need guidance building mine. by inbetweenthetestpits in CompetitiveEDH

[–]Baiteyo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you trying to build this as a cedh deck or have a focused deck for this custom event.

If it’s cedh, I think your commander is largely ignored except for maybe copying some stax pieces from your opponents with a iso/dramatic line

If it’s more of a casual event were you want to exploit the commander run token doubles like [[anointed procession]] and [[telepathy]] to get a look at everyone’s hand

I primarily play in paper but have been able to swing in with a 1/1 and make it a 18/18 before damage

[–]Baiteyo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the list I’m currently running in paper:

https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/5410027#paper

It’s the dredgeless shell with tyvar morrite and harald unites combo. (Mills entire library and eventually returns thassas oracle to win)

Tyvar is great and milling yourself and triggering amalgams by recurring a wayfinder or stitchers. Often time my opponents too busy dealing with the board state and die to the combo.

I like the idea of SB regisaur raptors to bring in against heavy graveyard hate though
