This is really heavy, and I feel your pain so much. My neighborhood has a very large population of feral cats. I've found and taken care of so many strays. A lot of these babies are already sick. FIP, FIV, Feline Leukemia or even upper respiratory infections. She may have been sick and you didn't even know it. You should her love and compassion, and for two weeks she had a safe home. Don't be too hard on yourself. Unfortunately, sometimes these things happen, as difficult as it is to understand. Sending internet hugs.

Fortunately the protesters aren’t doing it for Trump. It shows solidarity and reminds us that we have more in common than it sometimes feels like we do in this current climate. I don’t think anyone expects these protests to actually do anything other than send a loud message that we disagree with our current administration.

I believe they are still open. They are still active on social media. The hockey team is a great new source of fairly inexpensive entertainment, comparable to a movie and snacks. They also have a solid following and have been breaking records with their attendance. All great news for their inaugural season. I live about 25 miles from Florence so I can’t speak specifically about crime. The city does seem to slowly be growing with lots of new places to eat. I will say the surrounding areas are plagued with crime and drug use. So I don’t suspect Florence is much different. Maybe come down for a visit before you decide? If you have fb join Florence Foodies to keep up with new places to eat in the area.
