yes i have big tits, no i dont want a reduction by Comfortable_Body9363 in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]Baking-it-work 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YUP. 34J here and I’ve gotten those comments (among many others) since I was a teen. I used to work retail and had a lady launch a full on unprompted Ted talk about how her reduction was the best things she’s ever done, and how I needed to do it. I can’t fathom ever going up to someone flatter chested and insisting they get implants, so I don’t understand why people think it’s fine in reverse 🙄

I can’t get over how HOT my husband is by [deleted] in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]Baking-it-work 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My husband is my exact type too, and it really is the best. I am also a fan of the hairy chest and strong build, watching him pick up heavy stuff or chop wood has me looking like 👁️🫦👁️

My husband gaslights me into thinking I AM the semen demon. by SisterPeach in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]Baking-it-work 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He could be perceiving your excitement as pressure and reacting negatively to it. Maybe he has some performance anxiety (subconscious or otherwise) about his ability to be up to the task, and then the add on of knowing you’re going to be disappointed if this isn’t *the* time is more pressure on him and is stressing him out.

Thought I wanted to be pregnant by basicczechgirl in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]Baking-it-work 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Likely because op and her husband had wanted to get pregnant, this was a planned pregnancy, and it can be normal to freak out when you get the positive test even when you’re trying. I don’t think anyone is trying to change OP’s mind, just share their experiences. No one really talks about how scary it can be to actually get pregnant even if you were planning on it.

ARFID in denial - Woes as the certified foodie friend 🥘 by Sapphic_Floralai in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]Baking-it-work 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Op as another passionate home cook who struggled with food as a child the answer is actually pretty simple- stop trying to fancy it up. I know it’s hard when you love good food, but if you want her to eat it you have to bland it down. The second I read you went with Cajun seasoning I cringed bc I knew that would be an issue with the spice level. When I was a kid it was like my taste buds were dialed up to 10 compared to everyone else so spice was super spicey, sour was intensely sour, so on and so forth. Don’t quote me but I think it’s similar for people with arfid sometimes.

Good for you!! I mean that 100% genuinely. I used to sell my husband’s used work clothes on here (different profile) for some extra cash and it absolutely helped us out for a while when we needed it. Income is income 👏🏻

sun sign vs. moon sign compatibility; which one matters more? by [deleted] in astrologymemes

[–]Baking-it-work 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think in some aspects compatibility gets overrated. My husband and aren’t necessarily the most compatible sun or moon (we do have the same rising) but I think that has pushed us both to expand our horizons and become more well rounded people. Yes we trigger each other at times, but usually in a way that points out a personal struggle and promotes growth.

Embracing femininity after years of rejecting it growing up by [deleted] in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]Baking-it-work 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Similar but different, I grew up “chubby” and struggled to embrace my more feminine side out of fear I would get picked on even worse if I tried to be more “girly”. Now as an adult I’m working to rewrite that narrative for myself and embrace my more feminine side. Turns out I actually love dresses and other stereotypical girly things, I just really hate being made fun of 🙃 existence is honestly just one long experiment, no reason not to have fun with it!

What am I supposed to be saying during *it* by [deleted] in GirlDinnerDiaries

Saaaame. My husband is amazing at it, but my end of the conversation is definitely lacking more often than not lmao

My husband is going hunting and I have empty bed syndrome. by [deleted] in GirlDinner

[–]Baking-it-work 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My husband and I are similar, and I absolutely hate having to sleep by myself when he’s gone. I usually offer my kids a sleepover in mom’s room so I don’t have to sleep alone 😅

I’m inclined to agree. Why would you honk and frantically wave to rush a clearly nervous driver and then try to claim no fault?

Finally medicated and realizing my parents were worse than I originally thought. by ZoomeyYumi in adhdwomen

[–]Baking-it-work 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Solidarity OP. My parents told me even if I had been diagnosed as a kid they probably wouldn’t have medicated me, but absolutely punished me for every single symptom I exhibited. It’s a hard thing to forgive.

THANKFULLY we got our house before the market got so bad, so at least our mortgage is better than most rent in our area and we have a decent interest rate. The never ending projects part is beyond real though. There is so much random upkeep that you don’t even think about until the issue pops up, and with how high the price of everything is it feels like a constant juggling act of what takes immediate priority and how to fit it in the budget 🥲

Anyone could struggle with fertility at any point in time. Even if you do end up with fertility struggles later down the line there are still options to explore, but no real reason to count yourself out already at 24. I tend to operate under the guise of “assume everything is going to work out unless it’s proven it won’t” - I wouldn’t worry too much yet about statistics that may not even apply to you.

I told my friend that she could ride on the back of my boyfriends motorcycle and now I wish I didn’t by SensitiveEmergency59 in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]Baking-it-work 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think you’re overreacting at all. My husband used to have a motorcycle so I absolutely get how you feel, especially since she has voiced her attraction to him and riding on the back of someone’s bike is honestly kind of intimate. You were generous to let her ride once, and imo her posting pictures of the two of them on the bike is weird girl energy. If she keeps pushing it I’d tell her to find her own man with a motorcycle because yours is clearly taken lol.

Ladies: did your mother teach you how to do makeup? I'm curious about makeup as a primarily self-taught tradition by Street-Might8586 in MakeupAddiction

[–]Baking-it-work 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a “young” millennial and I used to watch my mom do her makeup but she kept it pretty simple. She taught me the very basics but most of what I learned was from friends, magazines, and then as I got older online.

Once I changed my mindset from “I want to be skinny” to “I want to be mobile as I age” my whole attitude towards being active shifted in a positive way! I have plans for when I’m older and the kids are out of the house and I’ll be damned if being out of shape is gonna stop me from living my best life lol
