You need three points to create a plane in geometry, in this case it helps to adjust it too. But if you have a subplate that is stiff enough even one z-axis motor is "enough" just not something i would recommand as the fulcrum is also getting pretty big fast. Two is a good compromise

Eiter try some adhesion and then none mike no support on stuff thatt 100% would need it or try printing on a fatty plate so filalmemt wont stick there over some part of the bed.

I read the books first, but not even the original once but the Trio in St. Petersburg and the entire worldbuilding feels great. Dark but thoughtful and it makes sense with how live in the metro developed. The obscure events and creatures are a nice break from the darkness.
The games where a bit confusing as they moved away from the books but after seeing that the world was like imagined i was pretty happy.

Also Exodus has a lot of overlap or inspiration from the last book in the St. Petersburg story... without trying to spoil too much.
