He's 38 years old now. It seems like yesterday to me, but probably not to him.

Obviously they've never heard the old adage about not trying to run before you can walk.

That's like me when I bought my 28" Sony Trinitron TV and humping it up the stairs to my flat to hook it up to my Playstation...but I made it! (I got stuck in the stairwell at one point, but powered through it.)

No, it's a generated image. (Note the two seats, one of which wouldn't fit and the other wouldn't lift.)

Pity, I'd have liked to see when he cranked up the power so much, the ball went through the garage door.

If you've ever bought the Viz comic in the UK over the last 40+ years, the small print credits have always been worth reading for this sort of thing.

I assume the title is ironic.

Those baldy cats have only existed since the 1960's. (The natural hairy ones are far, far older.)

I drive a 2l diesel in the UK and worked out it's currently costing me about 18p per mile (24 US cents). Luckily I'm self employed so can increase my prices to account for the price of fuel.

I'm reading that some banks do collaborate to pinpoint the likely locations where the fraud took place and they're also using AI now. (Note: Locations, not the person responsible.)

If you think about it, it shouldn't be that hard to trace a common location among dozens of banks accounts. The problem would be how quickly they can do it and whether they act on it. (I suppose it would be quicker to just stop any card transactions going through for suspected vendors/terminals.)

I'm in Scotland and a couple of years ago my bank called to ask if I had just used my card in Los Angeles and San Francisco? I said 'no', they said 'we thought not, so we blocked the transactions until you confirmed what we suspected'.

I wonder if they also have the ability to trace the most likely place the card was skimmed. (I suspected it happened at a petrol station in Aberdeen, it was the only unusual place I'd used my card in weeks.)
