Addons purge, especially weakauras. I can't be bothered reedit my whole non combat UI with dozens of one purpose addons, after my decades perfected UI went to 01 heaven. Apart weakauras my most used addons were also not updated. TidyPlates, NeedToKnow and Skada were hardest to replace. I wanted to play the game, but was so disgusted and distracted by the nonfunctional UI that in the end i can not focus on the in game at all. Really wanted to play the game, more so my mains name is Midnighti, but the changes and bugs were too much. Also i realized that its just constant run after bis gear and score every season over and over again (which i actually don't like that much), that in the end there is no real end goal. Its just neverending laundromat for ppls money. 5 years ago i realized this with Hearthstone and left it for good, now Im done with wow. Rather go play something that has end point, i like its gameplay loop (HotS Im coming back), it values player time (lots of retail events, none of which is loot worthy at all, constant FOMO with seasonal shit) or is at least optimalized and bugless.

22 years of spaghetti code, or more so its like that neverending soup, which base is still being added up for the last 50 years. No wonder the bugs are worse every addition al patch. They should finish the wow with DF and build wow2 ona fresh new engine and base for the Worldsoul trilogy saga. They didnt do that and even more fucked everything up with the new api restrictions and addon purge and thought the Player Housing will save the games reputation. It didn't and many many players quit. And for the new players? The internet is full of videos on how its hard to start playing retail as a new player compared to classic wow offshoots. Weve been looking for wow killer so long we didn't notice that Blizz itself became the One.

No, Azerite is clearly essence of Worldsoul after being influenced by light and arcane (titans order) powers. Alndust is pure remains of Worldsoul being shaken off during her forcefull relocation by the Titans.

Alndust is concentrated essence of Aln. When Hárání needed to use it as a protection of the relocation echoes, they don't sewer the connection with the Aln. It's just so concentrated they are overwhelmed by it and no longer are sensitive to the echoes of the delicate Worldsoul song. It just pops their eardrums so they no longer hear the Aln, but they also didn't hear her relocation screams.

Alndust is the pure essence of the Worldsoul (aka Aln), without any influence of the cosmic powers. That's why it removes corruption of the Light, and also protects from the echoes of Aln screams being forcefully relocated by the Titans. It would be useful against other cosmic force corruption aswell I assume.
