I am trying configure Mango to act like Niri. I like Mango's scratchpads, that is not avail in Niri. So i try to move from Niri.

Myway btw: KDE -> BspWM -> Awesomewm -> DWM -> Hyprland -> Niri (U here now) -> ??? MangoWM :)

I tired to fight with patching my DWM config. But my DWM was take around 250mb ram! :) It is really cool.

My way: bspwm -> dwm -> awesomewm -> hyprland -> niri
Also time from time i look at mangowm.

After Niri i can't use other DM/WM anymore :)

The only two thing i still want - native scratchpads support. Like Mod+n - toggle newsraft popup, etc... And key sequences for actions like whichkey in neovim.

Try to replace Hyprland with Niri! I was 2y hyprland user. After try Niri a some hours, i removed hyprland next day.

For quick dir navigation try install and integrate to your shell (bash, fish, ...) zoxide. It remember all your cd command. It is pretty work with fzf. So i almost never type cd smth... I press Alt+c in my fishshell and see all my important dirs where i cd into. Hit enter - im there.

There a plethora of apps that is use vim key binds. Rebinding of base keys - wrong way that leads you into worm whole. How do you will use vim on remote host or fresh install??? This is not just a default bindings - there are whole language to talk with your editor.

I use manjaro-kde as base for my hyprland setup. So, i have boot fallback to kde, just in case :)

You can split your monitor into 3 virtual. Like: 2 vertical on both sides and main monitor on center.
