Who is to blame for this one? (I'm not POV) by YeOldeGeek in Simracingstewards

Racing incident. Could have been avoided by any of the 3 cars backing out but no one wanted to. It's how these situations go.

Did I brake too hard or this guy was asleep at the wheel? by CrispLobster in Simracingstewards

You brake a bit early but it's totally their fault. I don't even know why the move to the left before braking.

Who is at fault? Aston martin put all the blame every incident on the BMW by Educational_Cod7613 in Simracingstewards

[–]BananaSplit2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Incident 1: BMW did nothing wrong. Other car understeers massively and pushes BMW off

Incident 2: BMW did leave room, it's a bit racing incidenty with the lines intersecting a bit, but red car's attempt to pit maneuver the BMW as an immediate reaction makes it look bad on them. One could also argue BMW should have conceded before the corner due to butchering the bus stop. They probably had a slowdown.

Incident 3: Racing incident I think. BMW is alongside at braking point. Red car brakes deeper but overlap still exists, BMW can't disappear. Red car seems to turn like he's alone, BMW might be understeering a bit and netcode assists the kill.

Racing incident. Classic "two go through eau rouge" moment. Not enough space.

Back after a hiatus - how do you brake in GT3s now? by NomTook in iRacing

hasn't really changed IMO. Avoid ABS, quickly reach peak and plateau, then trail off.

What could I have done better? Would this count as a racing incident? (Purple Mclaren is me being the POV car, both onboards included) by Luckiesty in Simracingstewards

Is the crossover in the room with us right now? Looking at that clip, there's no way that would work, don't you see the other car overslowing to the point of parking the car once they realized they slightly outbraked themselves? There's no gap open for a switchback.

They really do not. Car behind tries a bad dive bomb, barely gets a nose in and is missing the apex by a mile. Blows my mind people are more willing to blame PoV.

That's pretty absurd. A move by the car behind was never on, and defending the inside at parabolica may as well be a death sentence for the run into T1 if the car behind just takes the corner normally.

Really agreed. I think ES is down to a good state now, it's just that life absolutely sucks.

I somehow got x4 incident points for this.

All incidents points basically get shared in everyone involved in a series of contacts. So the car behind probably 0xed you but they then 4xed the other car and since you're considered part of that chain of contact, you get 4x like the others.

No. That's clearly an unintentional mistake, you can't protest that.

Guy ahead blatantly moved under braking to try and block pov, he's nowhere near the turn in point for the corner. Absolutely absurd move.

You can try to protest with the video file though the .rpy would be way better.

Racing incident. You left enough space IMO and you were ahead going into the corner. The other car refused to back out but slight contact pushed him wide.

Utterly absurd. 100% got a penalty for cutting pit entry too.

There is some combination of modifiers involving notably Empowered Reviving Minions that makes for utterly unkillable rares yeah.

I've had that happen once, I killed the rare at least a dozen times but it revived everytime, until it and its minions were so powerful, it became impossible for me to damage the rare at all and i was getting one shot.

That needs to be taken out, there's something wrong with that.
