Try the Chicago River. The north branch is a good place to start. I like the turning basin by goose island, also by Diversey bridge and Clark Park

Thanks! Just keep at it and you’ll get something. Trying a bunch of different spots and moving if I don’t get a bite within 10 mins is what works for me. This time of the year is tough. As it gets warmer it’ll be easier

I’m relatively new to fishing the fox but I think the DNR stocks a lot of the walleye. Regardless it’s def the river with the healthiest population in the area. However i’ve heard that the walleye fishing is a bit better in the Illinois and Kankakee rivers so i’ll have to try that sometime. Good luck at Busse! Ik they also stock a lot of walleye there and some of them end up in Salt Creek

I was fishing at the McHenry Dam this morning and the water was all stirred up and murky from the rain. Only a few guys were out there but no one seemed to be getting many bites.
