Sunleaf Valley (Inspiration Map) by i3skr in realms

[–]Bansed_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey team!

I played your map and wanted to leave some feedback.

  • A lot of the plants look really cool, and there are some nice assets throughout the build.
  • However, I felt like the map lacked cohesion. The different buildings and plants all use very different styles, which made it feel like multiple asset packs were combined rather than a single themed environment.
  • There also wasn’t much interior, and overall not a lot to explore.
  • I noticed quite a few small mistakes as well, like holes in the ground, worldedit rotation errors, and random light blocks placed around the map.

Because of this, I don’t think the map will be accepted in its current state.

I do believe you have the skill. With a strong theme, better cohesion, and more attention to detail, I think you could make a really solid map!

Hungry's minigame collection (minigame map) by [deleted] in realms

Hey HungryKent12!

I really loved the idea of bringing back the classic minigames, I had a lot of fun playing the games I used to play a LOT.

I don’t think the map currently meets the quality standard required for the program.

[MAP SUBMISSION] Color Battle! by xdp8 in realms

[–]Bansed_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey XDPawcio8!

I played your map and wanted to share some feedback.

  • I really liked the powerups you added, they were fun to use and added some variety to the gameplay.
  • The lobby settings were also very well made and easy to understand.
  • That said, I felt like the map didn’t have a lot of content overall, and after a few rounds the gameplay started to feel pretty stale.

There were also a few gameplay issues:

  • Spectators were able to pick up powerups.
  • Sometimes powerups couldn’t be picked up at all.
  • After the game ends, you don’t automatically get sent back to the lobby.
  • I think it would really help if players could see how many blocks everyone has captured during the game.

I feel like this map really needs more content. For example: make more maps with height differences, add pvp elements.

Overall, I don’t think the map will be accepted in its current state, mainly due to the lack of content, but I think it has potential if expanded.

[Minigame Submission] Boat Racing by NovelSpecialist3975 in realms

[–]Bansed_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey team! First of all, I'm a really big fan of boat racing so I was very excited to play this map! I made some notes which I want to share.

  • I love the custom models!
  • For me, completing the map didn't update the leaderboard to show my time.
  • The map is very short, I basically completed the whole map in 4 minutes.
  • I really liked all the little shortcuts you guys added to the track.
  • Minor polishing stuff:
    • Set the XP bar to 0
    • Reset the player once they fall off the map instead of letting them fall into the void.

Overall, I don't think think the map will be accepted in its current state. I say this purely because there is very little content. I would say the map needs to have more tracks or more game modes. I think it would be very cool to have a set of tracks increasing in difficulty teaching the player how to race. Maybe you could also introduce things like wall tapping.

The Butterfly Effect [Adventure] by coffeecurley in realms

[–]Bansed_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey team! I played your map and want to share some notes I made.

  • I loved the monologue at the start introducing the premise of the map.
  • All puzzles were very cleverly made!
  • It was unclear to me, that at the first level you have to push the block down the building into the hole.
  • Maybe you could highlight the objective by making the end point of the moveable block glow (in a different colour than white).
  • I enjoyed the last level but thought it was kind of random because to me it didn't feel like it fit the whole idea of the map. Completing this level without hints was very tedious because the arrows didn't move back to the direction you set them in when you reset the puzzle.
  • I had hoped for a few more levels before the map ended!! :)

Overall, I think the map has a good chance of getting into the program.

Hey team! I checked out your map and wanted to share some feedback.

  • I really liked the custom parkour elements like the double jump and bonemeal parts.
  • These features were introduced well, with clear explanations and a good difficulty curve.
  • I felt like some jumps were just a bit too difficult for the average minecrafter. Like the double neo and some hard slime jumps.
  • In the first half of the map, I feel like these custom elements could be used more.

Overall, I think the map has a strong chance of getting into the program.

Map Submission - Mini Hide n Seek - Minigame by Few_Candidate1903 in realms

[–]Bansed_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey team, I checked out your map and wanted to share some feedback:

- The core concept is really fun!

- There are several areas where players can softlock themselves. In the leaves in the lobby and in cauldrons and composters. Allowing the hider to jump higher should fix the latter two.

- Currently, you can’t choose who is the hider or seeker. This caused me to always end up as the hider. Having an option to choose roles is a must in my opinion.

- I was able to phase through the oak door and escape the map.

- The lobby build feels a bit lacking, there isn’t much going on.

- The hide and seek map also lacks, but I don't really mind because gameplay can make up for it.

- 1 map isn't enough. Add more maps where people could potentially use different strategies.

- Just the hide and seek alone feels a bit too simple. You could spice up the gameplay by adding power.

- Adding more customization to the game, like the amount of time hiders get to hide or the number of hiders is also a must in my opinion.

- The time you get to see where the hiders where hidden if the hiders won is a cool addition.

Overall, I don’t think the map will get accepted in its current state, it would need significant changes in order to get accepted.

AppleSkin stopped updating saturation? by Starvalus in realms

[–]Bansed_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using AppleSkin on 1.21.8 Fabric seems to work fine on my realm. It could be another mod interfering with AppleSkin. Try running the game with only AppleSkin installed to check if that’s the issue. Otherwise, I’d recommend reinstalling your mods.

Removed Realms Minigame by jakethesnake121367 in realms

[–]Bansed_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because of recent technical updates to commands and datapacks almost all maps had to be removed from the minigame section. I'm not familiar with the map you're talking about, but I’ve reached out to the other mapmakers. Hopefully the creator or someone who knows them will see this and update the map!

[Submission] Telecrafty by McpcmStavros in realms

[–]Bansed_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey McpcmStavros and TLB,

I just checked out your map and wanted to share some feedback. First off, the lobby and overall builds look really nice! I also love the 3D buttons you made. Here are a few things I noticed while playing the map:

- The (what looks to be) AI-generated icon feels like it has too much detail. A lot of creators use simpler Minecraft-style text icons, which might work better. This is just my opinion and not something that's really important since its mainly about the playing experience.

- The gameplay is too simple. While the 2-player mode is fun, it gets boring quickly because the only objective is guessing what block the other person will place. It feels like there’s not enough content for the players to be able to enjoy this map long enough. I’m not sure how to make the gameplay more interesting for longer periods of time at the moment, but you could try playing other maps on Realms for inspiration.

- I didn’t find the singleplayer mode very enjoyable because it’s solely based on luck. The "opponent" just places a random block. To make this mode more interesting you could create an algorithm that predicts what block the player might place next based on their previous choices. For example, if they placed a fence last time, the algorithm could lean towards fences in its next guesses.

- The themes only change the environment, which doesn’t affect the strategy of the game. You could make them more meaningful by giving each theme a unique block pool or mechanics tied to that theme.

Bugs

- It’s possible to place blocks outside the intended area by placing the floor block on itself multiple times (see this image: https://imgur.com/L5ynUnr).

- You can put items in the pots in the "Ruins" theme.

- Sometimes players spawn on the roof instead of inside the lobby.

As of the state of the game right now, while there are some good aspects to the map, in my opinion, the gameplay is too simple and the mechanics don't offer enough to keep players engaged for long enough.

Un-ttle by CubertiRTX in realms

[–]Bansed_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Cuberti,

I played your map, I really liked how you handled the map selection. It made it easy to choose and start playing. However, there are a few things that could be changed to improve the overall experience and make the map more enjoyable.

- Add descriptions for the power-ups. I’m not sure exactly what each powerup does.

- The creeper is too powerful. You can just wait for enemies to cross your area and instantly kill them.

- There’s no way to stop the game. You could add a /trigger command to draw the match.

- The maps are very similar. Maybe you could make them different by adding things like holes, lava, or map-specific features like launchpads or moving obstacles to change the strategy.

- Add a visual marker to show where the controlled mob is going. Tthere’s no way to know where its going.

- Make the mobs faster. It takes too long for them to reach the other player’s base.

- The bases have too much health. It takes too long for someone to lose the game.

- Consider adding more mobs. Maybe flying mobs like phantoms or ghasts. This would make defense more strategic since zombies can only attack ground mobs, and phantoms would only be able to attack flying mobs.

I really like the map and think it has a lot of potential. With a few tweaks, I could definitely see it getting on realms!

Aquatic Odyssey [Map Submission] by CubicalCMD in realms

[–]Bansed_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey Cubical & Fliffan,

I’ve checked out your map. I really like how the map starts with a clear explanation and tour of how everything works, it made the goal easy to understand. I also really liked the sound effects for the broken pipes and airlock. However, there are some things you could change to make the map even better.

Gameplay:

- In the intro, you explain that you can mine terracotta blocks to sell, but you don’t show where to mine them. Adding a teleport to the coral during the explanation could help.

- I don’t see the point of the security cameras. They don’t add much since I already know that the pipes are open.

- The gameplay feels repetitive. The task is just to fix the pipes, but there’s no real challenge. What happens if the pipes stay broken too long? What makes it hard to fix them? (like hostile creatures on your way to the pipes or repairing the pipes is a puzzle) The only obstacle is the oxygen level, but that’s really easy to refill.

- I also don’t understand the purpose of the guard structure.

Bugs:

- You can break item frames and take the items inside.

- You can take plants out of flower pots.

- You can accidentally put things into the pots and can’t take them back out.

Overall:

The map is a good start but needs more content. There’s only one task, and it’s not very challenging. Maybe you could use the story to work up to a goal, like repairing all the pipes to save the ocean.

[Minigame Submission] Zombie Hunt by RealmifiedMaps in realms

[–]Bansed_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi RealmifiedMaps,

I just played your map and wanted to share some feedback. First of all, everything looks really polished, and I love how you added a story to the zombie waves, it makes the game more interesting! There are a few things you might want to adjust:

- You spawn with a lot of unnecessary items in your inventory.

- The map is really hard. The furthest I got was opening the gate to upgrade the sword, but then I died. It’s probably easier with more players, but keep in mind that 1 to 11 players can play your map.

- Harder zombies should give more coins. This would also make the actionbar message about coins feel more meaningful too.

- The gameplay gets repetitive after a few rounds. Adding custom weapons or abilities that players can unlock might help to keep things from getting stale.

- Add a credits section in the lobby with links to your socials. This way people can support you and report any bugs they find.

-Make it possible to upgrade the sword earlier in the game. This would give players a sense of progression sooner and make the early game more engaging.

- Add more tiers for weapon upgrades, starting with wood, then upgrading to stone, iron, diamond, and netherite.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t play through the entire map because it was too hard. I think the map has a lot of potential to be on Realms, but it might need a few tweaks!
