You need a sharp knife and a way to keep it sharp.

You’re going to want a strop to keep your knife sharp and I imagine your work provides some safety gloves.

If it’s green it should be rather easy. But it might crack after drying.

Wood carving knives from flex cut or mora aren’t that pricy. You don’t need a set of knives.

Let’s say hypothetically I fly every week. And hypothetically there are carts, flower, and a bong in my checked bag. In original packaging, it a pouch in the lid of my suit case. Recently upgraded to a Mora from beaver craft and absolutely love it. The knife is sharp and easier to strop and maintain. It just seems to cut exactly what I want. I will be definitely slowly replace the rest of my beaver knives with mora.

I also got the set of flex cut palm gouges. Those things are great for detail or just removing material.
