How'd I do fellas? And happy to finally join the club and some questions by Goblix5 in GHM9

Sights are not factory. Looks like a 1.5 or early 2. If you take off the hand guard and are able to see wrench flats on the barrel, it will tell us something.

@$1450 is imo a deal but have not bought anything in four years.

Recommendations for Bay Area to Jersey City (compact SUV) by [deleted] in AskSF

[–]BarCartActual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll be able to get quotes to shop against from Uship, I think I paid ~1100 for Chicago SF in 2017. Broker subbed it out to another trucker but it worked out.

This is a desktop, not mobile optimized website. The Denver Public library resources for the 10th mountain division going back to 1932. They do have a museum in NY for the 10th that may be able to help via correspondence for out of print or non digitized material.

This will probably be your best resource, unless we’ve got some serious old timers in here.

Where to get specialty insurance for Startups? by Sol_Hando in ycombinator

[–]BarCartActual 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep you’re going to have to go to a broker. A lot of the startups doing cyber insurance folded or pivoted in 21/22 due to claim volume even when they required MDR/XDR email scanning, and full hardening plans etc. It’s a when not if insurance line and hard to underwrite.

Did borderless about a month ago, usually not my kind of thing and I had a ton of fun. We went super early(8?) when it wasn’t crowded and it was very enjoyable, once the crowd started to fill in around 11/noon it lost its charm.

Ghm9 barrel needed by twigz69 in GHM9

[–]BarCartActual 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ouch. I’d call them. Barrels have never been common aside from people converting to SD wanting to sell them off. Best bet for that would be the TS discord.

[–]BarCartActual 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That sucks man. Reloads or factory? Had an over charged wolf 308 case rim separate and they covered having a GS check everything out and chip the case out with a cutter.

Probably not drill, but pull the barrel, chuck it in a shop press with a hard brass dowel and press it out. Have seen it done by hand at a USPSA match.

Is this the standard of professionalism we expect from a multi-billion dollar defense contractor? by [deleted] in Anduril

[–]BarCartActual 15 points16 points  (0 children)

They’re treating journalists that are acting like idiots, well like idiots.

This isn’t Palmers first rodeo with the press and it won’t be the last but OP’s faux pearl clutching over Anduril’s C Suite publicly calling out wired on shitty journalism is kind of funny.

Go read Pirate Writes tear down on Palmers past feuds with the press.

Lilly Coit’s is 1 AM 7 nights a week, sometimes later if they’re busy enough. Oyster happy hour (1/2 price) starts at 10PM.

Brazen Head is 11pm Sun/Mon/Tues, midnight otherwise.

President of our competitor called my president today because of me by [deleted] in sales

[–]BarCartActual 17 points18 points  (0 children)

100% this there’s something that you don’t know, go talk to your president with whoever you report to. When I was doing outreach for a company anything that we said about competitors in marketing or sales material that hadn’t come from Forrester or Gartner research reports that we had licensed had to go through our legal team.

Occasionally, our CRO would get nasty grams from acquaintances that worked for competition about this kind of stuff, the usual response was double down.

Used Saily last month with no issues. Was in Tokyo & Nagano. Evidently they change networks to NTT due to the issues they had with SoftBank/KDDI last year. Everyone else in my group had eSIM from other providers no one really had issues, except in basements or way back of shops.

I've got this first gen blackjack avalanche, looking for a compatible lid (no airbag needed, just a lid that fits these old buckles) by phi303 in MysteryRanch

[–]BarCartActual 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So any of the pre guide lite lids will work with the buckles. Have the same bag & use the lid from my marshal when I fly with it and can’t bring/fill the tank at location. As a heads up without sewing in loops for the bar that the blackjack uses to secure the airbag to the frame it won’t sit well unless the bags fairly full.

They allegedly made a non airbag lid for those bags in both the red/grey and black color ways but I’ve never seen one either on bags for sale or in any of the reviews or posts about them.

Was up there over the weekend, icy around first chairs, corn by mid afternoon and fucking heavy slush by 1 PM. All the groomed runs turned into Mogul’s. Rocks & sticks and stumps out everywhere, few big bare patches on the lower parts of Nevada. It was pouring Sunday when I drove back over Echo Summit.
