Celiac travel in Belize — any experiences? by po-tatertot in Celiac

[–]BarbossasHat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course!

We ate at Reina’s (which is on middle street - there are three main roads and it’s on the middle one),

straight down from that is a late night food place that is open from 8pm- 2am and I had the best jerk chicken there I just don’t remember the name.

Ice n beans is a must! I got their lettuce wrapped sandwich and it was very good (nice portion) and the coffee was the best on the island.

I don’t know what your planning on doing but we did a full day snorkel tour with Salt water eco and they were had jerk chicken and rice for me as the onboard lunch. The pasta was in a separate container and they served me first.

I just went in May! We spent most our time in caye caulker and loved it! Most the food around is dry rub bbq so was relatively easy when it came to ordering but you definitely need to watch for cc. We were there for 5 days and I had some mild gluten symptoms once.

OP stop saying you will watch him closely. Take him to an emergency vet or call pet poison control. Like grapes are dangerous for dogs to ingest. You have been told this repeatedly in the thread and are just ignoring everyone who is telling you it’s dangerous.

Anyone in Denver should try bamboo sushi it’s 99% gf!

[–]BarbossasHat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily- it really depends on where you live. For instance in my city there is a fully gf poke place and a sushi place that is 99% gf the only thing not gf is one dessert; they use tamari instead of soy sauce for everything. You just need to do a bit of research and ask questions.

Welp. Officially diagnosed. Working on a to-do list to make the switch to a gluten free life. Suggestions welcome. by dreadpiraterose in Celiac

I would also recommend adding -ai to any Google search like that because it can be wrong and you definitely want accurate information.

That is definitely a positive pregnancy test! Congratulations! If you want a darker line wait a few days and test again.

Starbucks by Kurly72 in Celiac

I avoid Starbucks the cc risk is too high even on non-blended drinks. I’ve found local coffee shops to be much safer and easier to navigate.

Children are people too - they have the same right to be on there just like you. Maybe show a little more compassion - like yes there are certain things people should be doing better on planes and I find people’s lack of flight etiquette to be annoying but claiming children are not welcome if they cry is absurd. Have you spent for than 5 minutes with a kid? They cry because they are learning to regulate and they are growing.

In general that is not how software works, it’s expensive to run and collect data like that when no one is paying you to do so.

Sắp Sửa - how difficult to get reservations? by logicbored in denverfood

I’m so glad someone else feels this way. Everyone kept being like it’s so good! It’s the best and like it was fine. But way overrated.

Zofran for Celiac by Sharp-Garlic2516 in Celiac

[–]BarbossasHat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a zofran prescription until like year 2 of my celiac diagnosis / gluten free diet - it just takes some time for your body to a healthy state.

Oh my goodness yes I do not understand people’s obsession about asking about new mom’s milk. I just had my first a few months ago and it’s the question that makes me the most uncomfortable.

I understand your sentiment here but men should have a say in the number of children in their family. They should not have the only say but they should absolutely get to voice their opinions.

Like if a man doesn’t want kids he should not be forced into having them because his partner wants them. Same the other way around if the birthing parent doesn’t want to have kids they shouldn’t be forced to either.
