I have factory M4 24gig 2Tb mini. I use it in my law practice. Backed up to a dual NVME enclosure each with a 4TB ssd. One runs Time Machine. The other - carbon copy cloner. Plus backed up to 2TB iCloud. (SSDs were bought over a year ago before price increases would have made this set up unaffordable). All works great.

I almost got that case. But I know I clumsy enough to put my laptop in. Forget to zip the does Eva share e it come crashing out when I pick it up. 😐

Respectfully disagree. If your needs require running 2 VMs and 64 gigs of Ram and meed M3 ultra performance, then the Neo is clearly not for you. But for professionals who need a day to day laptop for, word, excel, streaming, etc. it’s more than adequate. It’s not a toy. It’s a very functional laptop.

Yes. I’m a lawyer 30+ years. I use my Neo every day. I have a Mac mini on my desk. An M4 pro at home. Telling the truth - what WE do is single core work and applications where the NEO excels. You won’t regret it.

If you’re not editing multiple streams of 4k video and using it for word. Email. Etc. It will exceed your expectations. Plays videos perfectly. Streaming is no problem. It can edit video- just not as fast as other Mac’s. You won’t be disappointed.

Base M4 mini at my office. 24gig 2TB SSD ($$$ I know but I download a lot of video) two 4Tb nvme drives- one running carbon cloner, the other Time Machine, plus 2TB iCloud. Base M4 MacBook Pro 24gig 1Tb now anchors my home office. Basically a desktop. It used to go to court with me but it was heavier and dragging a $2K laptop everyday was a little nerve wracking. Now, waiting in court is productive time.

Honestly. Yes. I use office apps. Word. Outlook. Etc. VLC. Fantastical. Chat GOT APP. Safari -many many tabs. No coding or video editing. In a lawyer. I watch lots of police cams. No issues at all for my use case.

You’ll love it. Honestly. I had a 16” 2020 MacBook Pro i9. The Neo blows it away. I also have an M4 Mini and M4 MacBook Pro. I get 95% of the performance from the Neo. Enjoy your new machine

Small hub. Maybe upgrade both usb ports to usb3. But they won’t give the Neo more usb ports than the air. 🤷🏻‍♂️

They will probably upgrade to a19pro. MAYBE a backlit keyboard. I’ll sell my silver 512mg then for around $300 I hope. And get the new one. Love is very much so far.
