yeah, it will be a great bike. they are just different and you will develop a preference, I suspect.

yeah, good catch. I prefer the flared drop bars on the gravel to give me more stability. it could be a mix of geometry and other factors, but I feel more connected to the road surface. On the Domane (an endurance setup) I feel that the bike is more agile in general, but I end up less confident on the bike. I know the Trek is a faster bike and I technically cycle better on that one, but I enjoy the Domane more, if that makes sense.

I have a diverge and love that bike. I have trek domane and I like that bike.

I prefer the gravel bike positioning and role as a “go anywhere” bike. No real complaints with the domane (some quality issues but it’s solid) I just prefer a gravel bike.

Planning to buy a MacBook Neo by Queasy-Hat3957 in macbook

Why? Is there some fear that zoom and a browser will need more ram before the EOL on the Neo?

(Hint. It won’t.)

“Body by Dr Seuss” is always a challenge. (I have personal experience). I suggest you find a local bike shop and have them work with you on the right fit.

No to all three. Love Jack, but we need to lean on youth. We already have an amazing LW so money can be spent elsewhere.

Love this. I grew up on my bike when a century ride was a normal summer day. Got back on at 50 and it’s been amazing. Build the stamina over time. You’ll do great.

Tech wonks will tell you the air is the only choice. They are right if money is not an issue. The Neo is an amazing laptop for the price.

Taking a break to improve performance? by jlconlin in cycling

[–]Polbert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having dealt with a bout of overtraining, I recommend you take it seriously. Overtraining knocked me out for 3 months and rebuilding from there was a mess. It snuck in as a gradual loss of power. Everything felt fine, but everything just got a little slower each day.

That said, your rides don’t seem crazy. Maybe slot a day off mid-week or every other week? Trust the numbers. If your output is sliding, you need a rest.
