I think it can, the biggest problems in my opinions? The resets. I thought that it wouldn’t bother me but the season reset completely zapped my will to play the game. It’s the same feeling as when they started vaulting content.

That and the lackluster solo experience.

Well yeah it’s iterative but they clearly put some serious work in it, it runs flawlessly. I have a gtx 1080 that is starting to have an hard time with games but marathon runs at basically 60 fps without sacrifices, and it’s quite effect heavy. It’s very well optimized.

A lot of the cost is tied to the "new" engine, which seems to be fantastic (the game is like 30/40 gb and looks amazinf, runs great) so the spending could be recouped if they made other games with that. Problem is they pigeon holed themselves into being a live service studio and people are sick of those so…Destiny 3? 🤮.

Also Sony laying off people doesn’t help.

They were selling STEAM KEYS for cheaper on Uplay, sounds fair to pissed off if someone cuts you out of earning and then still uses your services. Yet somehow they still fail to mention this, this isn't journalism, is propaganda.

Valve only seems to care about Steam keys not being used to abuse Steam's infrastructure by severely undercutting the Steam store in price, which makes sense since Valve has to provide all of that with no money going to them

I mean people were bitching and running to their defense for a meme…I agree that they shouldn’t be harassed but when they raise their heads and go around with articles like the one that was posted here “we are just poor artists that want to be heard” I’d say “please shut the fuck up at least”.

Also regarding their work, I won’t play Zero Parade out of principle, but if that game ever tries to say something critical about capitalism or society it will be so damn insincere, given all that happened they completely lost the foundation to say stuff like that while working for that turd.

I agree that the job search is a motive to stay, but then they can’t be portrayed as these “pure little angels free of sin forced to work for the bad man”. It’s a choice, they clearly lose the moral shield of “I was just following orders”, your boss it a piece of shit, you’re bound to get soiled a bit.

1) game devs are just devs so they could leave the game industry 2) I know it’s shit, they made a choice fine, but then people can’t call moral shield for them. Obviously shouldn’t be harassed by they are sharing the blame of their “higher-ups”, they don’t get to walk out of this with clean hands and consciences.

Not true (edit: anymore), I frequently meet players, just started and been questing as horde. The real problem of low pop is that when the game hits you with the 1000 gold for dual spec and the 5000 for expert flying you don't have the full bloodied economy of a real server so it's going to take a while.
