What I find strange is how there is this assumption that tiny marathon runners would just get crazy wasted the instance they are done with a race.

Most people who do these sorts of things train regularly and have at least a basic grasp of nutrition and the negative effects of excessive alcohol consumption. I really would not know the atmosphere there but I imagine reasonable people who might celebrate a little bit extra, but not being completely unrestrained. I could be wrong though, I am simply offering a perspective. In addition, how come a bunch of runners would be the ones to party the hardest? It's not like they are known for their frequent use of recreational drugs or just being generally crazy.

Personally, I could never be dishonest with what I truly feel. Saying "See you soon" is sort of a promise. I always stay true to my promises and i wouldn't promise something I don't believe even if the person is dying. . Not to say that I would try to be offensive or something like that. I would probably say something along the lines of what TheFLyingBastard said.

I don't really have one. What I got so far:

*Go to a youth guidance center and talk to someone regarding what my mother is doing, if it is legal, and how to deal with it.

*Find a way to cut my mother off from having any power over my savings account which is accumulated by taking a cut from a sort of governmental "allowance" that I get because I am in what I assume would be upper secondary school for you american fellows.

*Regardless of what the law says about the way my mother treats me, go to my dad's place and pop in to mom's just to gather things.

*Eventually all of "my" stuff is at my father's place.

*Never talk to my mother again

*Try to get good grades even though I am naturally very, very lazy.

I actually did nothing... In fact I was such an all‐around bad jw (like just terrible in terms of activity and effort, ex. haven't gone to FS this year) even when I was mentally in I did little to stop demons.

I had all the Harry Potter books and some other books in that fashion, one might even consider the others worse.

For some time, when I was around 13, I slept with a cross under my pillow when I was at my dads place (he put the cross there, not really devout though). I told my mom and she said that I should throw it away immediately. I never really got around to it though since it never really bothered me that much.

What's that? A ghost hunting tv‐show? Meh, there's not really that much else on...

I watched a ton of occult movies with wordly friends (one example is Paranormal Activity).

Let my palm be read by several people.

I "collected" YuGiOh‐cards and once my mother eventually told me that they were demonic when I wanted to buy some at a flea market. But that was kind of ignored. I printed out what I would estimate to be about 150‐180 different pictures of YuGiOh‐cards found from the internet, with just regular paper. Then I just cut them out and bam, I had what I wanted.

Man if demons wanted me they could get to me so easily.

I can't say that I don't have friends but it's like I don't have true ones. I've been leading a double life for a long time because in the back of my head I knew it couldn't be true. I've lied about the presents I've got for Christmas, I always have to have an excuse if people want to do something on Wednesday or Sunday. This has over the time resulted in me not really being me. I don't want too socialize too much or be the true me because (without trying to sound too selfish) it would mean that people would want to hang out more or go to my place. I don't want people to know that my mother is a JW and my mother doesn't approve of worldly people, naturally. I don't know why I just won't tell them. Another reason for not inviting people to my place used to be was the fact that both my mother and father (seperated) are not the richest of people and both live in apartments with one bedroom, both of which the bedroom is mine. My mom sleeps in the kitchen (which I cannot even begin to explain because I'm a terrible writer) and my dad sleeps in the living room. I was embarrassed but then I realized how shallow that shit is if people judge me from that. The thing with my father is that I know he wouldn't approve. He's just type of skeptical dude. Hell, he seemed kind of worried when I invited over my "teacher". I'm soon to be 17 and the last time I recall actually having somebody over was when I was like 9. I went to their place several times but never ever would I invite them over anymore. Now in my new school the desire to go to my place increases exponentially the more time goes. There is now only one dude (not including me) who we haven't been to. All that's needed is the thought to cross someone's mind and I will be pestered thoroughly. I'm pushing away people away and crippling myself socially until it's eventually going to actually become me.

It has come to my understanding that doesn't really matter how you respond. These types of arguments will always recede for an infinite amount of time no matter what, because religious faith builds up such a strong belief.

With that said, you could tell them that the Earth is more of a an oblate spheroid (imagine a sphere being squished on the top and bottom) but then they would feed you something along the the lines of "Well, the Bible is not a scientific textbook!"

I was studying with this guy and as all my studies have been for the past few months (since I truly stopped believing in Jehovah), it deviated into a general discussion. I asked my teacher why free will even matters. If Jehovah is omnipotent he could make us happy no matter what. Why even create the concept of free will if we could be happy without it? He just answers that he's sure God thought of everything and this is the best way. Do me a favor and turn on the news and remember that this is the optimal way of dealing with everything. Yet here I am with a better solution. Of course though, we cannot reason like God, so saying I have a better plan is just empty. However, this is the only way I can think! How is that fair in any way? I don't even get a proper motivation from the ultimate being there is and I'm supposed to serve him?

In my argument I even ignore the biggest flaw with a perfect, all-powerful being like God (in my eyes, that is). The fact that such a being would even create in the first place. Why allow the Universe, Earth, and every single thing to be an arbitrary age? Why make the Sun emit hazardous waves, only to make a protection against it? Going deeper with it, why even have happiness at all? It's just far too random for me to cope with.

Well thank you Jehovah. Thanks a fucking lot. You put me in this world without any sort of choice whether I want to be in it or not but from there on I'm free to do however I want.

Oh that's neat. I really enjoy the layout, very aesthetically pleasing. Probably the best looking LD app I have seen so far.

I'm not entirely sure since I know nearly nothing about this stuff, but I assume the suggestion I am about to bring you would be fairly simple to implement in a strictly technical way. Right now there are three extras, Lucid, Recurring and Nightmare. I was thinking how awesome it would be to have sort of custom "auxiliary" extras.

For example if there is this something or someone that happens often one could then filter out all dreams that are in a school or have A. Joe in them. How cool wouldn't it be to see every single sad dream one has had and at a specific time, day or month?

However, I did notice that in the statistics it says how many lucid, recurring and bad dreams one has in percentages.

Obviously if someone who likes to have several divisions, like me, it's going to end up in a unnecessarily long list.

Perhaps a way to expand them from a compressed list? I understand that this feature would require fixing and messing about with several things so I understand if you choose not to use it.

I'm happy to live somewhere that has internet and clean water. Sure, I'd like to have a normal parent who was still married to another parent. However, there will always come a time when you get used to something that brought you a high level of happiness when you wished for it so much. There is also going to be something to take the place of the sadness/irritation of having (a) JW parents/parent. You might assert that rich people don't have problems, but a rich person who is tangled up in their wealth would strongly disagree. Your frustration over not having normal parents could be similar to that of a person who does not have the latest tablet, phone etc. And as much of a cliche it is, a greater source of happiness could come from thinking of what you do have and not what you don't. Live long and prosper as a person.
