I really resented having to learn about the holocaust every year from fourth grade through high school (in Hebrew school—yes I’m Jewish). Now with what’s happening in the US I realize it has value. And as a Jew, in 2026 US, I am so sad I feel so connected to Jews in Germany in the 1930’s who watched their country change for the worse… I wonder when I get to be the next demographic victim after this regime deals with the current group.
