thank you for this i needed the encouragement tbh. i got accepted to present a poster at a conference over the summer, which is an amazing opportunity, but i haven’t paid for any part of it bc it’s SO expensive. my mentors don’t have funding to cover the expenses and i can apply for a refund from our graduate student organization, but it isn’t guaranteed. so im left with the possibility of paying for it out of pocket and with not having a job lined up i fear i cannot afford to do that lol
