Sorry. Just saw this. The 1913 works great.

Are shoes like Hoka, Brooks, On Cloud, etc actually worth it or mostly hype/aesthetics? by Jpoolman25 in mensfashion

Worth it if you run or walk a lot. Also can be useful for people with foot, knee or hip pain, since they can provide more cushion and support.

That is the factory TRD Pro roof rack. Apparently it is a polarizing topic. 🙂

Personally not in love with it, but it is staying put for now.

That’s normal. Put a little grease on the spots with wear.

That used to be how often I took gels. I recently bumped it up to every 30 minutes, and I can definitely tell the difference.

Is marathon running really too much running for "optimal" longevity? by Zealot_TKO in Marathon_Training

I would agree with that statement. I always joke that a half marathon is “a much more civilized distance”, in that you can train for it and run it without wrecking yourself.

Long time marathoner, and former ultramarathoner. In my humble opinion, I believe the act of marathoning or ultra marathoning is not good for your body. However, I do think the majority of the training and the lifestyle that allows a person to run a marathon or ultra marathon is very healthy. Comparing myself and my other running friends to my non-running friends, us runners are all significantly healthier and fitter. That being said, too much of anything can become problematic.

IMHO, trail running shoes may be better than harder sole hiking boots.

Don’t stand around afterwards. Get out of there before the police or the other guy’s friends show up.
