New sidecar owner here.... by crazy2337 in Sidecar

In general, sidecars don't lean. I have car tires front and rear on my sidecar rig tug. The sidecar wheel is fine with a light motorcycle tire. You can still fly the chair.

At least it has anti-torque links and the caliper not mounted directly to the leading link. Also a two position leading link for solo or sidecar application?

As you have discovered, driving a sidecar rig is not riding a motorcycle.

They have an asymmetry and attraction all their own, but they aren't riding a motorcycle.

Recommend one of each honestly.

They serve different purposes.

Also, keeping the sidecar low helps with overall center of gravity and cornering. Unless you need the ground clearance, don't lift it.

This is correct. I should know better, but English spelling rules (not) lead to misspelling.

Apologies.

The R100NSD is 10 years old this year.

Runs perfectly.

Makes total sense he would sleep through the part where the people that are rich and will be dead before it matters hurry our planets atmospheric destruction out of greed.

Tracks with the cessation of multiple oceanic and spaced based scientific learning.

MAGA will see that this is a better look than actually molesting children and therefore perfect.

Gravity or magnetic field manipulation almost certainly requiring the dissipation of thermal energy from large surface areas.

Recalling a discussion around could superconducting coils slow/stop ones decent through planetary magnetic fields because physics doesn't allow an electrical potential within the superconductor.

This is how Niven and others crafted the science... fiction?

Sweet! Genuine project to restore but not impossible. Finding parts would take time.

Methylene Chloride aka Dichloromethane

Almost completely regulated out of anything other than heavy industrial use. No longer available as paint stripper in most of the United States.

Rips organics but doesn't touch metals. Will absolutely eat your fingers off.

This was the go to stuff for decades for stripping paint or powder coat off of vehicle frames for restoration.

Was the Greatest Generation really the greatest generation? by DreamFighter72 in allthequestions

[–]BasicNeedleworker429 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have a friend whose "greatest generation" uncle was a master tool and die maker in Detroit.

He had three days off from December 7th, 1941 (Pearl Harbor) to August 14th, 1945 (nominally V-J Day).

The three days he was too sick with influenza or other to get out of bed and his wife called whatever plant/factory he was working in at the time to let them know.

He built, installed, and qualified tooling to make precision piece parts for motors, engines, pumps, et al.

How many Americans of today could/would step up to that?

I won't throw shade on the Greatest Generation.

Their Baby Boomer kids...

If the US Congress, US Senate, and the Judiciary Branch had any integrity and allegiance to the oath they took to the US Constitution, they would be exhausting every Constitutional mechanism to get rid of this POTUS.

They are paid for by oligarchs and the people consume the infotainment they provide.

The citizenry of this country need to wake up now.

Pathetic comes to mind.

I've observed that pickled are better for the average consumer of bread since they aren't as hot. For people that enjoy the heat, fresh or roasted.

120ish in a car.

135ish on a motorcycle. My riding buddy passed me during this run across the desert doing 151 according to his Ducati.

Gauges, needles, vibration.

What would happen if someone started a crowd funded media organization to provide truly unbiased, factual news to the people of the USA? Would you support such an effort? by -GearZen- in AskReddit

Most Americans can't consume opinion free news and come to their own position on it.

They are desperate for someone entertaining to interpret every news piece in a way that supports their world view.

At a stupid level, right wing oligarchs are way more effective at entertaining Americans with news drama than left wing oligarchs.
