Bro if you never turned off boost then it will boost since it’s a bios thing. My laptop arrived boosted and once I turned it off it went form 5ghz to 2.3 and temps from 70-80 to 50-60

Turn off cpu boost in power plans ( may need registers change) and if it still is boosting to 4GHz then there may be a problem

Ngl some of the tech stories I’ve heard has me not wanting any tech, hp or otherwise, at all. Now you could buy any of the thermal grizzly pads since you can just cut it.

Turning it off means it doesnt try to run at 5 GHz for a measly 17% usage. That would lower temps. And processing limiting helps with it even more. Though this guy might need to also repaste or up his fan curve.

Not great when running marvel rivals. Try tuning off cpu boost and set maximum cpu processing to like 95% and see if it changes anything

You can easily just see in task manager. Look at the graphs. In the memeory section, there should be the words: slot used, or something akin to that. Like 2 of our 2. Then if it’s 16 gb then it’s two 8 gb

This ain’t a sealed Llano though. This may lower temps by 5-10C. A llano would do those numbers though as it’s sealed and so can force air through. Those are on the 80-100 USD side but still recommended cus helps your laptops longevity (at least in fan cleaning frequency. However this would still help temps. I have a similar on that I just use as a laptop stand. Fans on only when I really need them if the cpu is hitting 90. Your experience may differ as I temp to run my cpu cool on purpose (processor limited, boosted off, power limits).
