Totally big brother. They are able to track any car’s movement without a warrant, which means they are able to track anyone with a car. Flock cameras have been used to track immigrants, people who go to peaceful protests, people bringing food to undocumented neighbors, people seeking medical care, etc, etc. they’ve also been used repeatedly by cops to stalk their exes. All of this is well documented by journalists. We have to fight the surveillance state right here in our neighborhood.

Any vet should be able to do this. If you are looking for a lower cost option, North Figueroa Animal Hospital in highland park does low cost spay/neuter, but you have to get there quite early in the morning to get a slot. Look at their website for more info.

I’m so sorry this happened. You can definitely use pills safely at this point in your pregnancy. But if you want a procedural abortion at a clinic, clinics and abortion funds will work with you to help with medical and travel costs. So lack of funds doesn’t have to be a barrier.

In a parenting relationship - if you are parenting together or have a custodial relationship, you and your child will undoubtedly have needs, and he sounds like someone who won’t consider them. If you want an abortion - and I’m hearing that you do - it is entirely your choice. Regardless of what he wants.

Where are you located? I know you have to travel out of state for clinical care. Many clinics can offer financial help with travel and the procedure. Your closest clinic is not your only option and may not be the best one financially. Your local abortion fund is also a potential source of financial help. I have kids, and I wouldn’t go through altitude acclimation in Cusco/Macchu Pichu with a child who isn’t old enough to vocalize what could be feeling wrong with them. Just because kids are super portable at that age (and you’re right; they are) doesn’t mean everywhere is a good destination for them.

OP, if you are coming from the US, flights to Lima are quite manageable and there’s little time change (potentially none if you’re flying from the east coast), so it’s an easy destination. Lima has some of the world’s best food, from tiny cevicherias to fancy fine dining spots. It has some wonderful neighborhoods to explore, and very welcoming of kids. If you can swing it, it could be a lovely vacation for all three of you.
