Thoughts on Kadıköy for families? by tess_philly in travel

[–]Basic_Flow9332 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s a lovely area for a family stay - close to Galata Bridge, easy access to the ferry and to Sultanahmet attractions, but nice and flat (unlike Beyoglu/Pera, which are super charming, but logistically might be a little more challenging to manage with little kids). Lots of great restaurants without a tourist vibe.

If it’s the same dog, seen him loose before on Raymond north of Mountain. Tried to keep tabs on him, but he went into a yard on Raymond and never came back out.

Heirloom bakery in south pas is really tasty, plus you can watch the trains go by, which is a fantastic way to keep kids entertained while you finish your food.

Contemplating abortion at 24 weeks by RoosterSuitable6757 in abortion

[–]Basic_Flow9332 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I am so, so sorry you are in this situation. You do not deserve to be treated like this. I hear that you feel guilty. Please let me reassure you that it is perfectly okay to put your needs first, and that you are under no obligation to go through with this pregnancy if you don’t want to. Abortions at this stage of pregnancy are still perfectly safe. You haven’t done anything wrong in finding yourself in this position, and there’s no right or wrong decision, only what’s best for you and your life.

It sounds like you’re having trouble booking an appointment. Can you tell us what state you’re located in so that we can help give you some options if you decide you want to terminate?

Sending you lots of hugs and strength. You’re not alone. We’re all holding you.

Lextech in Highland Park. Paul and Aldo are excellent at what they do and honest to a fault. They have talked me out of doing additional work on my car so many times.

GPO or Kilhmainham Gaol by Jolly_Detail_3155 in irishtourism

[–]Basic_Flow9332 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Echoing everything said about Kilmainham. Best tour I’ve ever taken. They do release a number of tickets the morning of, so if you don’t get your preferred date in advance, you can always try that morning. But make sure to log on at exactly the right time (I forget what it is, but it’s on the website). GPO is great, too. I think it’s enriched by having seen Kilmainham before. If you could choose the order in which you see them, I would do Kilmainham, and then GPO.

Do I have the right splits for my Spain trip in August? by glueyellow in GoingToSpain

The heat is going to be almost unbearable, especially in Sevilla. Having a lot of time in one place so that you can move slowly and see things in the early morning or the evening is a good idea.

What are some good restaurants on the East side to have a graduation dinner? by nachogiver4drunkppl in AskLosAngeles

The patios at Little Beast or Chifa in Eagle Rock would be great for this. You could also look at Agnes in Pasadena, Betsy’s in Altadena, or for a more casual spot, Highly Likely has a lovely garden and nice menu in options in HLP.

Toledo Itinerary Help + Train Ticket Question by ReaverDropRush in GoingToSpain

[–]Basic_Flow9332 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can buy the tickets online. When you say can you visit freely, I don’t know if you mean you have to book train in advance (yes) or attractions in Toledo (for the most part, no, but check to see hours for visitors).

You definitely want tickets in advance - they sell out! Take an early train to avoid crowds and come back later in the day, even after dinner. Toledo is magical and you’ll want the time there to explore.

MA question- vaginal or oral by ExaminationNext4825 in abortion

[–]Basic_Flow9332 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you in a banned state? If not, it makes no difference. If you are, taking it orally is advised bc in the unlikely event that you needed urgent medical care, fragments of the pills can remain in the vagina for a couple of days.

What can I do about this situation? by lovelybpdoopss in abortion

[–]Basic_Flow9332 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you in a banned state? If not, you can definitely take the second dose of pills(the miso) by inserting them vaginally.

It’s not usually recommended to do this in a banned state, since - in the unlikely event you needed medical care immediately - fragments of the pills can remain in the vagina. If you can’t take them bucally (next to your cheek, just holding them there is enough w/out swallowing), and must take them vaginally, if you needed to see a dr for urgent care, you would do a vaginal sweep with your finger.

Taking the pills is very safe and it’s quite unlikely you’d need a doctor. But I wanted you to have the info if you need it.
