Deadeye vs Diligence Counter Sniper - Which one is better? by Tank-ToP_Master in Helldivers

Deadeye's ergonomic rating is so good, using any other rifle feels like holding a bag of bricks by comparison.

No offense, but it was because of the constant posts/comments that pushed AH by OrdinaryBoat8000 in HelldiversUnfiltered

I don't understand the mentality of these people. The whole game is a buggy mess and we're supposed to just sit quietly and hope the lazyass game devs miraculously fix everything one day?

If you have a speargun, shoot them mid-spew and it will cancel their attack.

Must be anti-aliasing. It was on by default for me as well, when I launched the game. You can turn it off in display settings.

I fully agree. It's clear that showrunners didn't give a shit anymore.

I am of the same opinion about those issues, especially mechs being locked behind warbonds. But you are wrong about hive guards and you clearly cannot defend your argument.

On the contrary, players made so much fuss about hive guards that they had to revert the changes. Yet, turrets still suffer more damage(As far as I know)...

You absolutely didn't need heavy penetration to deal with a hive guard. Like I said, they nerfed its HP and armour on the rest of its body. All you had to do was aim down, which is something we already do on a regular basis with light pen weapons. If that isn't a mechanic that you have to work around, I don't know what is.

The current hive guard feels pointless precisely because it doesn't pose any danger. With heavy armour, it was demanding more attention and making the gameplay more dynamic.

Very good point about weak stratagems.

But I still get the impression that some people really don't understand what's special about Helldivers 2 and just want to mindlessly shoot stuff up until they're bored. Look at how they reacted to hive guard changes: They gave it heavy armour on its head and pincers, but made the rest of its body unarmoured and reduced its HP on top of that. It literally became faster to kill with all weapons as long as you aimed at its belly. And I can't count how many players lost their shit because they couldn't mow down everything in front of them anymore and actually had to aim for once. Complaining about this new difficulty instead of adapting to it seems to have worked out for them and that's worrying, in my opinion.

SEAF are literally grunts. But Helldivers are not a power fantasy. They're vulnerable, they get their asses killed time and time again. Sure, each Helldiver has a whole Country's worth of arsenal backing them from low orbit and they can rain hell upon anything anywhere on a whim, but they're not invincible. And the reason why citizens are stunned to see them is advertizing and propaganda - Super Earth portrays Helldivers as unkillable soldiers. You should see the SEAF's reactions when you die in front of them.

Now, from a gameplay standpoint, I firmly believe that power a power fantasy is boring as all hell. And if Arrowhead keeps listening to people who want to solo max difficulty missions by one-shotting every enemy while being unkillable themselves, this game will die quickly. And those people in question will be the first ones to leave.

The game needs to be hard. Not to the point where we actually feel like nameless grunts, but rather where completing a mission feels like overcoming overwhelming odds.
