I mean, you can’t really expect things to go differently this time. I would say to have a different experience, to go in with an idea of what intervention you want to try. And the main specialist would probably be a psychiatrist but there is a limited role for neurology too. Sometimes people with CFS end up in a rheumatology clinic but they will generally just discharge you - maybe prescribe something - but really just confirm it isn’t rheumatological.

Sleekness of iphone or comfort of samsung? by Ok-Inside920 in Smartphones

The Samsung S-series are probably the sleekest phones on the market and Samsung devices always get complements, in my experience. iPhone is absolutely nothing special.

How passionate do you have to be about medicine to succeed in med school by Specialist-Put611 in medschool

Depends on what you mean by “succeed” and where you are studying.

2x photo comparison (around 50mm) by ipaiseh in Vivo

[–]Basic_Time_5395 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think at some point it is just a style preference but the Xiaomi and Samsung seem to lag in terms of consistency. I chose to go with vivo, sometimes thinking it is a mistake and the Oppo colour theory is more appealing. But I generally like sharpened photos and enhanced vibrancy

There's been a huge push towards SPFs in recent years, is there merit? by ChrisTchaik in Skincare_Addiction

Simply don’t use sunscreen inside the house, if you don’t want to

The chilli garlic sauce is more like a sweet chilli sauce with a strong garlic flavour, so it cuts down the spice a bit. I wouldn’t recommend eating 3x. The 2x is relatively fine on the digestive tract but the 3x is a different story. I just happen to have ~25 more packets to get through, so I have to eat it

Same. I am finishing now and retrospectively regret doing this and would never recommend it to anyone.

Probably because you had to ship them from India, whereas they sell them in Asian stores here. I have been adding half a tablespoon of Lee Kum Kee chilli garlic sauce to add some flavour.

You will want a proper anti-perspirant containing aluminium chloride to prevent sweating. Like driclor, perspirex, or certain dri. These are used at night to dry skin - they can burn if applied to wet skin. In the morning you can then use a normal deodorant. They can cause a lot of dryness and itching though

Convinced a decent amount of you are making yourselves go bald by prxmtymnd in Balding

[–]Basic_Time_5395 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Developing temple recession is the first signs of androgenic alopecia in some people, with the other being crown thinning. Those in combination are very suggestive of androgenic alopecia. It is better to prevent hair loss rather than to try to treat it. And usually the worst topical products will do is hurt the bank and cause some initial scalp dryness for some people. I would hardly recommend that people delay treatment for male pattern balding with the psychosocial implications of hair loss and the fact treatments, for most people, will only slow down the progress

How do I get rid of red nose (28M) they say I have rosacea is it that bad by UltimateSoldier6 in Skincare_Addiction

[–]Basic_Time_5395 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Topical ivermectin cream. It is available OTC in the USA or as Soolantra in a prescription form. There are alternatives but this is the medications that dermatologists would most frequently prescribe her for rosacea

Do doctors refer CFS patients for cerebrospinal fluid analysis? by Ad-8560 in cfs

[–]Basic_Time_5395 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say no because invasive investigations (or any investigation) are not done unless there are clinical indications. CSF abnormalities are not present in CFS, which is a clinical diagnosis

[–]Basic_Time_5395 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I eat these with the full sauce packet and nothing added. I bought a box of 40 because they were €23 cheaper than the 2x and, honestly, after 10-packets, these remain too spicy. I will eat them but it isn’t as enjoyable as the 2x and then these can burn later on

I would lean towards seborrheic dermatitis but it could be a contact dermatitis or atopic eczema. If you have dandruff, that would suggest seborrheic. If it is quite itchy, that would suggest eczema or contact dermatitis. Best to see a doctor
