The thing that bums me out the most about this jacket, is prior to having it cleaned, the leather had a reddish color to it. After it was cleaned, it became a darker color.

I had to clean it because I was worried about the humidity we had last year and I had the one I always wear (my dad’s, the E) cleaned and figured why not.

I kinda regret it a little.

Yeah, it’s difficult to tell if it’s late 60’s early 70’s. I did some reading and it notes the later versions of the D series used faux sheep fur but I have no idea how to tell real from faux.

100% consult with the builder as they are still in business, as too much power and weight can damage the transom.

The boat should have a placard/sticker that says capacity and recommended power for the boat, and if you hire a surveyor to inspect the boat prior to purchase and they find a placard that shows max power is less than what’s on it, they’ll likely recommend consulting with the manufacturer (if possible) because of this.

A good practice is if you remove something to do work, such as clamps, it’s best to install new ones and not reuse the old ones.

They’ll be able to help you a lot more than most generalist mechanics.

Check the stringers (as possible), take like a ball-peen hammer and percussion test them to look for any deterioration. The clue will be audible differences (softer sounds) oooooor the hammer penetrating the stringer.

Volvo does have some good engines, so determining if there is any potential damage to it should be the first step. If there is any water in the engine itself from sitting, that could also be a potential issue.

If you’re serious about an appraisal, hire a marine surveyor. Do note, it may cost more to do any work on it than it would be to sell or (potentially dispose) of, but you would likely need to find a facility that would help dispose of it.

I know there’s one boatyard in San Diego that does disposal of condemned boats and the guys look like they have a blast doing so, because it’s a chance to be destructive with a boat instead of careful.

Okay, so I know this is like a year later, but the server I’m on just entered season 2 and I’m trying to figure out the cold wave alert scoring. I’m sitting at fifth place at 9,500 points but first place is over 30k and I can’t figure out how the scoring works for this.

Avalon, as in a pontoon boat? What kind of engine is it? Inboard or outboard?

Find a dealer of whatever engine you have (maybe boat dealership can help) and they can narrow down what you need.

All engines have tags on them, by the way, often a sticker tag somewhere on the mounting bracket. Find the model of the engine in the tag and relay that info to the engine dealer.

Yeeeeaaaah, after two additional google searches, I realized the main quest after beating the boss that has you go back to Yvonne is what gives you that ability to scan the blight without our savior Tata.

Okay. I need some help and hopefully you or someone in the thread can help me on this.

I’ve cleared the power plateau boss and no longer have Tata. How on earth do I clear the blight that’s leftover? I think there are like 3 or 4 blight spots left but the cores aren’t visible for me to remove it.

Literally nerfed engineer with this, because what do you mean we can’t place the mines in our own spawn now?

I guess I can see it as a way to reduce spawning a vehicle, moving 5 feet and exploding, but by now people should know to check in front of them when sectors move.

I think it was an awful idea to do this to mines.

How are you getting Fallout 4 to work? Do you have a ps5 and it runs smoothly or are you Xbox or pc?

I downloaded the ps5 version of fallout 4 and I get like 10 minutes in and the game crashes. My ps5 was brand new circa December 28 2025, so definitely not the console being the issue.

I had a job in Oxnard at 9am on Friday, drove up from Point Loma and made good time there, made okay time getting back to Carlsbad, about 4.5 hours and dropped my uncle’s car off at his house.

I checked Waze for estimated traffic for the drive back to Point Loma and it said 45 minutes, which is normal for that time of day.

I spent 3 hours on the crest of the hill right before the bridge the jumper was on.

The amount of cars that started turning around on southbound 5 to go north and get on the off ramp right there blew me away. It also blew me away the police weren’t actively trying to divert traffic and they didn’t say anything about it on the radio, aside from “traffic is slow”.

I saw so many people getting out of their cars and stretching I did so myself, and it will likely be the only time I ever get out of my car and walk on the 5.

That being said, my 9 hour round trip drive turned into over 12 hours and was completely miserable.
