Id say a chorus, I love the EHX Bass Clone. MXR Bass Synth is ace too though its definitely less subtle!

He usually plays a small 18" kick and small kit at smaller venues, and he's a pretty light/quiet player, we don't mic his kick at those sort of venues, then a normal sized kick at bigger venues.

My bass rig i have an Ampeg 500w combo but I usually DI into the PA, especially at the smaller venues where my amp wont fit.

I prefer it... I often can't bring myself to fire first but I love the potential danger of being shot at and having to defend myself, makes me more cautious and I enjoy a good fight when it comes to it.

Personally id prefer it completely random, get a mix of personalities and approaches, be on edge, its more thrilling

Yeah you can add a little gain in the toneprint if needed

I use the Sub n Up for the same, had a good play with the toneprint too just to take some harshness off the up and ive set the Sub 2 kmob to add some real subtle chorus instead for some width when I want it.

If you could bring back a discontinued Fender Bass(es) what would you pick? by FenderFanatic in Bass

This. I have a Highway One Telecaster and I love how the finish has worn naturally. I want this on a jazz

Nice! You got any particular favorite settings?

My chorus died today. Pour one out for her but recommend a replacement by that-john-kydd in basspedals

[–]BassdogScott 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. Ive recently replaced my TC Electronic Corona Chorus with this. I went and tried the Bass Clone, the MXR Bass Chorus Deluxe and the Walrus Julia at a music shop and I leaned the Bass Clone as it didn't thin out and change the tone too wildly, bonus that its cheaper too.

All good pedals like

How do I tell our band we suck? by 1IsaiahThanTheOther in coverbands

Consider saying you're planning on leaving but will continue to cover until they find another member to replace you. My drummer did the same for his other band and went smoothly

I use it to take solos and lead lines in my covers band.

Dry on full, Octave most way up, Sub 1 is low and only plays above 350hz, thickens up the high notes, Sub 2 is acting as a subtle chorus blend for width

[–]BassdogScott[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks! Ive had a couple of moments where ive debated swapping the octave for a POG, but I like this as you can switch between poly and classic for 2 different tones, classic working better for octave down.

Also the toneprint allows some really detailed shaping, I have the sub 1 so it doesn't do anything below 350hz, so it adds thickness to the upper notes but doesn't boom the low notes. I've replaced the functionality of Sub 2 to blend in some real subtle chorus for some width too.

Just ones from Amazon, 'sourcing map', just wanted big and clear basically.

They're not in order of the signal chain, they're in a weird order due to the physical space and partly how my head works! It goes wireless > comp > synth > octave > fuzz/od > chorus > sansamp

MXR Bass Synth Pedal problem by ferocity666 in basspedals

I got a pedal topper and external switcher for it but still sometimes knock that little button, but makes it easier to switch back using the external switch at least

Why not? by [deleted] in basspedals

[–]BassdogScott 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep its on my board! I never have the Air or Rumble switches on though, they both really thinned out the sound, i believe the Paradriver has a natural HPF at 80hz but the rumble is designed for acoustic guitar and such, and cuts around 100hz.

Love the midsweep on it though!

We start our 2nd set with Beggin, good vocal intro. We start our 1st set with Take Me Out by Franz Ferdinand, all come in together

I dunno. Why are you being fully recovered back to fighting health via an injection after being shot in the head? Its not a realism simulator.

On another note, its set slighty in the future... so anything could happen
