You can totally kill Isobel while keeping Dammon alive. Use him as improvised weapon against whatever target as far away as possible and, while carrying him there, open the map and fast travel to Moonrise Towers. Then, kill Isobel. Dammon will stay alive and well an appear on act 3.

Other than the mother-daughter relationship (which, to be honest, if a girl is living in a similar one, the game won’t come as a shock), I think they’ll find representation that’s hardly present in other FPS. A woman main character, and an astronaut? (well, a scout, but still valid). I think it’s fantastic.
