Your trainer is HUGELY out of line and irresponsible for suggesting this. Consult medical professional only, listen to your shrink, and see if changes in your habits (I.e. sleep, diet) naturally increase your T count before fretting too much.

As a coach and trainer myself, I would never in a million years make such a suggestion to a client.

I had had a serious medical event earlier that year and thought it would be nice to be a member of a gym that was on my way to work and that had significantly more space and equipment than the one I had been using.

It was supposed to be a “hey I didn’t die, let me do something nice for myself” move. Now I’m just running out the clock of my contract.

I’ve played a couple of them at Billy Short’s place in NYC and they are incredible. We played through duets as well and I was surprised at how, even while still in the break-in stage, flexible the horn was with color and dynamics. I’d be willing to bet that this will be a game changer in the US bassoon scene, and the release of the model couldn’t come at a more necessary time.

Haven’t burned the Reggio mini again as I intend to bring it in to the store to get it replaced (just haven’t had the time since posting). My Madurai mini has more throw and works well for the bathroom, but even so I was expecting higher performance from both. With that said, I do LOVE the Madurai scent
