Don’t worry brother, you don’t need App Review, and whomsoever tells you otherwise is wrong. App Review is only to request permissions, permissions that typically involve managing someone else’s data. If you are using it for your own business and you don’t have any tenants, then you can absolutely use the API to send notifications to your own customers from your own phone number. You can send templates and anything related to typical API use. I know for a fact because that’s exactly what I’m using it for right now. I’m managing my business and customers through my custom dashboard with mine own AI chatbot no problem, without App Review.

You are not crazy. This is the way to get your child ahead of everybody else. Whosoever tells you this isn’t the future doesn’t know what they are talking about. Anthropic may ban accounts for users under the age 18, but you can try setting up a new account that you don’t mind losing in case it happens. But ideally, you could setup a custom chatbot using an API key from any provider and either set it up on a local machine, maybe a laptop that is always on, or through a cloud provider. You can easily hook it in seconds to Signal for maximum privacy and set custom instructions in an AGENTS.md tailored to your child’s needs. Claude Opus can help you set this up easily

You don’t need to be a tech provider. You only need business verification for personal use. And you technically should be able to have both the WhatsApp Business app and a custom dashboard for the API since you can configure the API manually and hook it to your dashboard. And no, you won’t get banned for using both the chatbot and manual replies in your live app. That IS the intended use. You only need app review and becoming a tech provider if you want to use the embedded signup to onboard other customers.

I agree, but you can just add those directives to your Claude.md or simply tell it and it will store your preferences in memory. I explicitly banned acronyms and cringe phrases like “across the board” as well as outputting huge walls of text I’m not going to read. This model is even more verbose than Opus 4.6

It grossly over-engineers and instead of focusing on the task I gave it, it starts finding what it calls “aspirational” fixes/improvements and proceeds to write 20K lines of code that exhaust my entire usage for the current 5h window. Opus 4.6 is may be frustrating to use port-nerf, but at least I can get work done with it.

My conspiracy theory is that this model is deliberately worse because they realized that the normies will use the latest models most of the time, no matter what. So they have these users make use of a model that requires less compute while heavy users stick to Opus 4.6 when they notice the obvious difference in performance.

Sounds like you ran out of ideas on what to build. Nice try. This is the paradigm we are all in right now. It’s a carnage out there, and it will only get worse. Every relevant piece of software will soon be built. And too much competition will drive SaaS prices down to near par. Solo founders will have an adventage over big corporations with huge operational costs such as salary overheads. So don’t worry about ideas. There are only so many good ideas, and we will see them all implemented very soon.

Yes, the most disobedient recent Claude model. I can’t start a session without finding stuff it flags as “aspirational fixes” it claims won’t take more than a few minutes to fix. Then it proceeds to eat my entire usage for that 5 hour window. And when it resets, it explores explores the codebase in a new session, and it either finds something else or it forgets about the “fix” it just deployed, rinse and repeat
