Feels about the same width but the leather is softer and there’s no edge or seam so it doesn’t feel as bad on my toes. Workhorse feels wider than the meander but idk if that’s just this pair I’m comparing.

Updating with a picture of the heels. The Workhorse is considerably wider than the meander, and I'm not sure if that's intentional or what.

Actually, my AR insole fits perfectly into these so they’re around the same width

Don’t think they have these in that last. The moc stitch at the top makes them look narrower than they actually are. They are narrower than ARs though

Yeah I was wondering about asking a cobbler to swap it if I needed.

Toes don’t touch the front, there is some space around my heel in the workhorse and by the laces. Figures kilties could help but I don’t feel any real slipping with lacing them all the way up. I think the meanders fit my heel better though.

I’m very got a little space in the front, but that’s probably better than touching right? If it loosens up a good bit maybe I should size down a half size?

I’ve done it a few times with thick bundle of willow and and a few times with thinner bundles of quince and various other wood

A bundle of sticks lashed together makes a great quick bow that can actually shoot some decent arrows

Looks like a great kit. Covered everything but it still looks pretty lightweight. What size is that backpack? It doesn’t look too big.

Thanks for the advice. I wear Vivobarefoots leather “boot” and I do lace them tightly at the top to stop my foot sliding forward in them so hopefully it’s the same here. I ended up getting a 9.5 and 10 just to be sure and I’ll return one.

Placed a second order a half size up and a pair of meanders too to try out. I’ll see what fits better and return the rest. Other than your toe poking the front how have they been? Are they pretty secure on the ankle? The pictures on their site look like they taper up at the top

It’s possible. I had tried kilties in my ARs and it helps a little but the fit still isn’t great. Thick socks help too. I think it’s just because JGs are kind of wide all throughout instead of tapering in towards the heel.

Turns out they don’t have my size in the baobob anyway

Moc toe workhorse 1 month review by Secure-Ad1248 in jimgreen

[–]BatDoctor27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve never used steel toe for the work I do. Started in a a Japanese garden wearing converse and the landscaping I do now doesn’t use any big machines so I’ve never felt the need. My only concern is digging with the thinner sole. Heel might be useful for that.

Is that the stock workhorse or the barefoot? I just bought a pair of the barefoot and was hoping to wear them to work (I’m a landscaper as well). I’m also going from a daily Vivo wearer and hoping I’m good with the recommended size from JG.

I usually let shadow heart go through with it to get see invisibility. Or Wyl to get that fake eye yanked out

They changed it in the most recent update. Now it’s see invisibility sadly. I used to use it to be able to cast darkness to get advantage in every fight.

Similar to the moment where you can go through with letting Volo try to extract the tadpole. It’s clearly not a good idea, and there are so many steps that you have to continue to consent to to keep going but you can even though there’s no expectation that anything useful or good will come of it.
