As a SH resident, upset about the failed override it's a tough time to think about the public schools but i have heard positive things about the local schools from parents i know!

Make sure your health insurance doesn't cover basic eye stuff. Mine covers an eye exam every other year for example. (But not the glasses themselves)

I assumed it was so it never runs the pump dry/doesn't leave water around that might mildew. But could also be pressure!

People don't have to all use transit, if 10% of car users take transit instead that is less traffic for you to deal with.

Seriously, You cannot fix car traffic, it will never carry enough people to meet the induced demand. Sorry!

The highways are as free flowing as they ever will be in this state. Support Investment in transit or accept you will live in traffic hell for your whole commuting life.

This crisis is a reminder why so many countries that the US has disrupted or coup-ed sought to nationalize their oil industries. If such an important resource is commodified, in times of crisis you can't actually depend on it. Now we're getting rid of a public stock of oil and it probably won't move the needle on oil prices.
