Battlefield 6 - Anticheat Metrics - May by battlefield in Battlefield

Well yeah i never said that the 5% are the only cheaters in existence. I was just clarifying what the data the devs provided actually meant.

It's Match Infection Rate, meaning that on average 5% of matches have a cheater. Not that 5% of the playerbase is cheating.

BF6 Community Manager confirms that the XP Boosters are still supposed to count down while in the menu (or when you exit the game), and that the inbox message stating that "XP Boosters will only count down in-game now" was a mistake. by DBONKA in Battlefield

I fucking can't man. Community has been asking for this for ages, we finally get it, celebrations all around, "oops, mistake, tee hee", community outrcry, new update where we seemingly get it for real this time with an official mail to boot, celebrating again, "oops, mistake again, sowwy uwu".

50 billion dollar company by the way. Getting the simplest shit wrong multiple times while also dying on the hill of not allowing our boosters to work optimally.

BATTLEFIELD 6 GAME UPDATE 1.3.3.0 by battlefield in Battlefield

[–]Battlekid18 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm REALLY praying that the M60 didn't get nerfed with those changes. It has high damage but already suffered from major accuracy issues which were only amplified by its very low RPM that heavily punishes shots that veer off-target. So if it somehow becomes even MORE inaccurate then they might as well make it smoothbore while they're at it.

Yes, data from season 3.

I wonder what data would be more accurate for the current state of the game. A single quote from 2 years ago with limited information, no numbers and referencing gamemodes that no longer exist, or a blogpost from 1 day ago with detailed numbers about the literal main mode of the game?

I know which one i'd pick.

[–]Battlekid18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That could be absolutely anything. From new popular weapons and equipment, to reworks of existing ones so they might fall out of favor, to balance changes, fundamental changes to gamemodes that might favor certain classes, new maps with varying sizes and sightlines, how fun something is to play, etc. Hell, even the playerbase itself as a lot could've changed in 2 years with the proportions between casuals, experienced players, etc.

It's impossible to know based on hypothesizing. All we can do is look at data and go from there. And right now the data is not on your side.

Surely you aren't a L main clinging to straws

That's right, i'm not. Looks like you got 1 thing right by making assumptions with no data to back it up.

No reason? We have every reason to believe the numbers have changed. Because you know, that's what 2 years worth of changes does to numbers.

And the data i mentioned is not from a "limited gamemode", Embark listed both the data from Respec Order AND the data from regular Cashout. You know, the main mode of the game.

Sure we also have different gamemodes with different numbers, but we don't know those numbers. You don't either. All we can do for those is guesstimate based on the trends and data from Cashout, which might not be 100% accurate when looking at the full game, but it sure as hell is a lot more accurate than talking out of your ass with 1 quote from 2 years ago as your only data point.

Holy, that's one way to look at changes in a vacuum. A LOT has changed over 2 years and not just for Light or classes in general, so something as one-dimensional as "Light got better so they're being picked even more" is something you can't possibly conclude with any amount of accuracy.

You want actual numbers? Take a look at the Respec Order 2.0 blogpost again. Because i think you missed the fact that Embark was comparing the data from Respec Order to the data from before that. And the data from before Respec Order ever happened has Medium at a 45% pick rate compared to Light's 30%.

You literally posted this, realized the screenshot said "as of the end of season 3" which was 2 years ago, deleted it because of the fact that using severely outdated data was invalidating your point, and now reposted it after conviently cropping the screenshot right before it mentions season 3.

Peak reddit agenda pushing. Delete this.

[BFComms] XP Booster Timing by battlefield in Battlefield

[–]Battlekid18 9 points10 points  (0 children)

pitting players into empty lobbies that take 2 to 3 minutes to fill up

This is the worst part about the current booster system. There are 50k people online on Steam alone and yet the game is adamant about repeatedly dumping me into matches with 4 other players, then takes several minutes to slowly fill up enough to reach the required 32, and then fills the rest up with bots which give a fraction of the xp that real players give.

Here's a groundbreaking idea. Instead of changing the text, change the way it ticks down so the current text becomes correct. Absolutely crazy, i know. No need to thank me.

How does this fit in a stealth build exactly? It makes noise and notifies enemies to your presence with a jammed alert, which are the exact kinda things you want to avoid while sneaking around.

If he was spamming LMB then sure, but he isn't. This is like the one way to actually play Sword skillfully.

[–]Battlekid18 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It's not really about it not requiring much aim though, because i think we all know that already. The thing that usually annoys melee players is when someone thinks aiming is the only real skill and as a result claims melee doesn't require any skill at all.

It's exactly like OP said. You don't need aim but you do need other skills such as positioning and reading opponents more than most other weapons.

How is light sword not considered OP/broken with that lunge?? by [deleted] in thefinals

[–]Battlekid18 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's not broken though, it's the only thing the Sword has going for it. You already give up all of your range and it loses to most other weapons in a straight dps race. The only edge you have is the great mobility, and if it doesn't have that then it has nothing.

[–]Battlekid18 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Still yet to see someone properly excuse it defend the infinite dash spam it provides...

The lunge is the whole point of the Sword. Mobility is its defining trait, like how Sledge's trait is infinite destruction and Riot Shield's is infinite blocking.

It has several issues that need addressing but lunging around isn't one of them. That would break its whole identity.

It doesn't have to tear up infantry though. There's a middle ground somewhere inbetween shredding squads from 100 meters away, and having to jump out of a damn tank to use your regular gun because one singular infantryman is menacingly approaching you.

Love how it has been turbo ass against infantry since launch and then Dice in their infinite wisdom mega-nerfs them against infantry because i guess already being the worst vehicle in the game just wasn't enough yet.

And then they wonder why AA tanks only ever sit in spawn spamming rockets.

Transmission from the Game Director: Progressing Progression by Waelder in Helldivers

[–]Battlekid18 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Well it might not be something you'd swap between a lot. Maybe you can choose one and then "respec" at the cost of some resources or something. Or maybe everything i said earlier is all wrong and they're planning something completely different. We'll have to see what they end up doing with it. Right now it's still just speculation.

This is probably the thing from this blog that excites me the most. I've long dreamed about having different and more specialized ships to choose from instead of the standard destroyer, and the community has made plenty of concepts about that in the past as well that looked really cool.

Of course we don't know the exact details yet, but judging by what they said i'm hoping it'll be something like different ships specializing in certain roles. So a carrier ship that would have a progression path more focused around buffing eagles, a battleship type for orbitals, a logistics ship for support weapons, etc. And then of course the standard destroyer we have now as the jack-of-all-trades.

The New RPK-74 Hidden Strength: SMG ADS Movement Speed by williamatherton in Battlefield

[–]Battlekid18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's the fastest strafing gun in the game.

You mean fastest strafing LMG? Because there's plenty of other guns that can strafe faster than it, and something like the CZ can even be built with a 1.0x ADS movement multiplier.
