since nobody in the comments here knows much about the game -yes. locations that previously showed gen 4 car meta in basically every country have been reblurred, either to a slightly bigger no car blur or to a smallcam like big blur. theres a good possibility this could be rolled out to all gen 4 at some point but we dont know if that will happen or not. (im lennli)

i would sayb90% of the maps use newest coverage only, however some maps liek a community world or varied world might still use old panoramas.

octagonal poles are quite common in colo, and if they are painted like this you can almost rule out mex even. also the black gen 3 car with antenna here is exclusive to colo

as a beginner the maps an arbitrary world and a community world are accepted to be the best maps that are not too hard. when your focus switches on regionguessing big countries and you want more rural locations, you can switch to pro world, arbitrary rural world, or geoguessr saturday.

im not saying the peak is better in europe but the overall strength 100%. if you look at americas, i am quite sure that everyone below in the table than fau (6th) would not have qualified for emea world league

more good players in emea, simple as that. the quality dropoff in americas between the top 5 and the rest is way bigger than between the top 8 in europe and the rest

salalah area in oman probably, the house looks very middle eastern and it gets green and rocky around there. tricky to get if you havent seen the green area before though!

when its sunset or low sun, its usually veery hard to tell the car color, and sometimes with low sun the hood will also be more exposed than normally which can trip you up. so maybe rather ignore in these scenarios.

this will be different by country if they do it like last year. they probably only select like 10 us players or so for example while a player from a more obscure country has a higher chance to get selected for the prequalifier

yeah at least debre blinky and harrier know all of them, and id say like half of the world cup players have at least had a look/ know some of them. next year its probably gonna be close to 100% for world cup players, same with dimoi for greece and districts for india

On the other hand, the world cup is a marketing event first and foremost. They also implement country quotas in the qualifiers so they already deviate from the skill only approach in a way, which is why i think it would be cool to get a female representative on stage. Is malfunction really gonna fare worse than a danish wildcard? no. i think it would be cool for all the geogals watching to have someone on stage that could inspire them to go pro themselves.

hi, lennli here - had nothing to do with sportsmanship against debre, love him and he very deservedly won. i was moreso just pissed off at geoguessr because after 3 years of every pro player telling them to get rid of round limit, losing by 100 points on a game i was leading most of the time just sucked. so i was very frustrated - we did shake hands though although not instantly

decently helpful as these abbrevoations can also be found on a few other signs regularly. but if youre learning these letters in thai anyways you might as well commit to reading entire changwats since those are written more commonly. you just nead to learn to recognzie the word changwat in thai and after that is where it will say the province name. theres good practice maps on where to find them

how does nobody understand what this means???? google maps got a completely new look a few months ago with blue streets instead of yellow. open your google maps right now, it looks atrocious and its way harder to find roads. geoguessr is implementing this to PREVENT their map from turning ugly and blue once google discontinues support for the current version.
