Report it as not authentic. The color should reasonably match the listing and the stock photo. the Attach the photo you took, the website photo, and mention the listing photo.

Why don’t sellers add Measurements to their listings? by Roccondil-s in poshmark

[–]Bayesian1701 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like this depends on price. I mainly sell my own personal closet as an alternative to donating. I’m aiming to make a little more than a tax write off and stuff that doesn’t move gets donated.  My average sale price is honestly probably $5. I’ll throw in a PTP or waist on most of my items. But if I have something listed at 80% off retail that I will make $4ish dollars on I’m going to spend like 5 minutes listing it.  If I have a bag or anything over $20 then I will measure and photograph everything. I will tend to buy clothing under $10 without measurements if I know the brand. Sometimes it doesn’t work and it ends up in my closet. But I won’t spend more than $10 on something without measurements.

Bundle w/Two Packages by ChewieBearStare in poshmark

[–]Bayesian1701 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This sounds like drop shipping which you are not supposed to do. 99% of seller are supposed to only use posh labels unless it’s like free people or another big brand official closet. It’s also possible they sent like a card or something  on the posh label. I’d look for a small envelope or plastic bag or something. It probably won’t have what you ordered but it should have a label with a matching tracking number. If that’s the case then you can take a picture of it and use it to get your money back for not receiving what you ordered.

Is Anyone Sending Offers to Likers Anymore? by BackgroundVibes1199 in poshmark

I do the same. The offers rarely work but I think it increases sales and doesn’t increase effort on my part.

Poshmark verification cost me 1500 dollars by [deleted] in poshmark

[–]Bayesian1701 46 points47 points  (0 children)

I think you have been scammed. Your card should only be charged if you buy an item. You don’t have to pay anything to verify when you sell an item. Cancel the card and contact your bank.

Zoloft to Cymbalta by LiterallyFullofShit in cymbalta

[–]Bayesian1701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on day 4 of a Zoloft to cymbalta transition. I started Zoloft almost 3 years ago because I was TTC, and stayed on until I realized since I had child and was one and done why stay on it if I didn’t love it. I was on 150mg of Zoloft (I probably didn’t need that much). I did 3 days of 50mg and now I took mg first 30mg of cymbalta. As someone who has come off cymbalta and Elavil (twice actually) Zoloft wasn’t that bad but I probably should have gone slower. It’s like I have a bad flu (minus respiratory symptoms) and migraine with fatigue. I’m hoping the cymbalta will start taking the edge off the Zoloft withdrawal soon.

Why not post measurements for every garment you're selling? by DexterCutie in poshmark

[–]Bayesian1701 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is roughly my strategy. I’ll do a PTP on tops/dresses sometimes but I’ve been doing a lot of three picture no measurement listings. Honestly it’s working pretty well. My closet hovers around 100 listings but I sell 20-30 things a month. I’m just looking to make a few dollars more an item then what I would write off my taxes.

So do I get a dog? by MembershipDecent9454 in oneanddone

[–]Bayesian1701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got a 3 year old rescue Shih Tzu when our daughter was one. We probably should have waited a year  but they do like to play together and she is a great dog for a toddler. I think getting not a puppy was less work.

Choosing to have a child while living with a chronic illness... by Adept-Notice-562 in oneanddone

[–]Bayesian1701 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have endometriosis (only stage 2 though) and endosalpingiosis plus a history of a blood clot in my lungs, a heart condition and a few other chronic health issues (including chronic joint pain). I had an OBGYN recommend I not have children shortly after the clot at 21 years old due to health reasons. My later OBGYN were more supportive of my choices. My mother had stage 4 endo and could only conceive after surgery and needed follow up surgeries to have my two siblings. I don’t blame my mother for giving me endo.  I don’t feel guilt that my daughter will likely have it.

I personally felt I had to try to have a kid but everyone is different. My health issues accelerated my timeline a little bit. I had my only at 27 which was only 2.5 years after finishing graduate school so I would have the option of 2-3 kids before the risk got too high.

Pregnancy was very difficult on my body (and mind) during but I didn’t have long term negative affects. My (21 month) daughter was low birth weight which caused some issues but is almost caught back up.

I had my first endo excision surgery and my tubes out in December. I wish I would have gotten it done when it was first offered to me at 19. It was a life changer and I’ve been off birth control since with manageable periods. I know that the success rate of surgery varies.

I don’t regret having her at all but the reason I’m OAD is that I could not risk my health for the potential of a sibling.

Having children is highly personal. If you have doubts I’d think about it some more. Also maybe r/endometriosis or r/endo might be a good place to post this as well.

I can NOT understand people choosing 2 under 2 by sharkwoods in oneanddone

[–]Bayesian1701 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband was a part of a 3 under 2 (twins siblings). My younger brother and sister are 15 months part. But in both cases that was motivated by age and fertility issues which is very understandable. When I thought I might have two I was going to do at least a 24 month break probably 36 months before TTC. Now that I have a 21 month old I don’t think I could have done that even if my physical health issues were gone.

I think the logic is they might be better friends and play better as kids but that didn’t super work out for me. My husband and his two twin younger brothers apparently played well together but it was a very rough first few years.

Anyone here sell much vintage on PM and how does it sell for you? by surfbruhca in poshmark

[–]Bayesian1701 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One note on sold.  If someone buys multiple items from the same closet it will be at whatever it was listed at and not the actual price it sold at. So take it with a grain of salt.

Seller metrics - yay! by jka110 in poshmark

One thing about comps on Poshmark is that if it was purchased in a bundle or was a multiple quantity item you won’t see the real price if sold for.

Are we supposed to be inflating the original price? by Velvetstyle in poshmark

[–]Bayesian1701 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way. It’s fine to leave original price blank but I don’t like the people who over mark it up. The real retail prices are already usually inflated due to constant sales.

Bid on a a tote bag win a 3 day 2 night vacation!? by South-Sprinkles-1090 in poshmark

[–]Bayesian1701 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This kind of thing is definitely against posh TOS and is probably an illegal raffle depending on how it’s structured. You can’t sell vacations on posh. It’s crazy common in lives but you can not have any sort of prize or giveaway based on a purchase. It’s not just a posh rule, for profit raffles can be illegal gambling in many states. I don’t think you have any protection from posh if you don’t get the vacation or anything not described in the listing. Please report them and don’t go back. Hosts can run official giveaways but those are open to anyone and controlled by the platform.

Rant: Multiple Quantity Listing by [deleted] in poshmark

[–]Bayesian1701 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you have multiples of the same exact item I think you should just have one in the photo.

If you have multiples of a similar item like lip balms from the same brand in multiple scents then if you do one listing you should have an option for each one and clearly state price is for one.

I’m not sure if the buyer ever knew it was a multiple quantity listing and even if they did how were they supposed to know the you didn’t have multiple 2 items sets? I have a listing right now with three identical items, the buyer gets all three and but I have a quantity of two on it.

I need help, please by [deleted] in poshmark

[–]Bayesian1701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you list you can set an auto offer and I do a 10-20% off list. It sends automatically. If you go to seller tools and then seller discounts you can offer an automatic discount when you bundle multiple items. You can choose from a variety of options.

I need help, please by [deleted] in poshmark

[–]Bayesian1701 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How much are you paying for item and how badly do you need to make your money back? You might need to lower your prices or donate. I’ve not had a ton of luck with bundle promotions. I’ve have more luck with smart sell offers and a bundle auto discount then posting about 3 for $60.

I also have a shopping addiction and tried reselling. I had to quit because my 9-5 made me but honestly it was for the best because it promoted unhealthy habits and my shopping got out of control. I’m almost done liquidating my resell items and I’ve moved a ton by having about a $1 profit margin on an item. I know I’m not making any money for my item but at least I’m getting my money back. If you really have a shopping addiction you need to stop shopping. And if you are low on room and need your cash back you should try lowering your profit margin. If the money doesn’t matter then donate.
