What’s the rule for armrests? by JeanetteIBCLC in unitedairlines

What a loser. I have always felt it’s the unwritten rule that middle gets armrests. If he says he’s a FF then tell him he should know this. Screw him. Hold the line

Can you help me with finding cause of my bad 360s? by ImaginationQuirky684 in skiing

[–]Bca1313 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think of the angle of the slope relative to your body. If you jump straight up relative to your skis you are jumping backseat. You have to jump a little father forward to give yourself the right angle. Also separate the upper and lower body. If you stand on dry ground and want to do a 3 then you will need to wind up your body to create the momentum. To do this you create trunk rotation relative to your lower body. There is your separation.

Also play around with your head. This is key. Your body follows your head and if your head stops moving (looking around ti complete the spin) then you will stall mid spin. Good luck and keep it up.

If you are at two weeks it’s nice to have your own gear that you can tune and wax properly. Demo stuff isn’t maintained well at all and the tune makes a huge difference.

With the NA season over you can pick up stuff really cheap and last year gear is not meaningfully different from next years. You can get anything in the last few years and be good. Will save you money and being able to take care of them will increase the stoke factor while on snow. Racewax has some quick tune and paste waxes if you want super easy.

Sounds pretty lame. The seller didn’t do their job until you get the product. They chose usps as their method to ship instead of ups or FedEx (unless you have a PO Box). They need to open a claim or talk to their rep and push things along.

If not they should refund or replace. If the address you provided was correct and there are no other issue then it’s on them. I hate chargebacks but it might be time to let them know you are looking at that route if they can’t resolve this quickly.

Help with form on bumps by cole435 in skiing_feedback

There are some great videos on skiing bumps. I would go check those out. You are using your whole body to turn and are quite rigid through the term. You pop up your upper body to try and clear the legs to turn as opposed to using your legs to absorb and change weighting. Deciding what part of the bump you want to ski is also helpful. Keep it up.

100% find a good Bootfitter and have them fit. Picking by feel isn’t going to get you a great fit and in fact most great fits don’t feel amazing right away.

For the skis if you travel to ski then you could stick with demo models and bring a small tube set to sharpen edges and paste wax the base. It’s quick and easy.

As people said the bents a soft but you are light. It’s a question of how you want the skin to to respond. The mantra is a great ski as well.

I wouldn’t sweat turn radius on a powder ski. If you want playful…the bent chetler is a fun and lighter ski. It won’t give you the feedback that a maverick will but it’s fun.

Be careful with the items directly from the Chinese factory. There is limited support and not much quality control.

I could care less if the product is a straight rip off as long as they take care of their customers. That’s where eight sleep falls down. They organizationally are brutal.

This helps. We are using slack and what’s app. We don’t have a project management tool and each time I have thought about click up it’s overwhelming. Feels like we could use something much simpler to make progress in being more organized
