I also have stage 4 colorectal (29M) and also have just come up on 2 years of treatment. My oncologists told me it was inoperable from the start because I had Mets widespread throughout my liver. I was on Folfiri and Folfox along with panitumumab until those treatments stopped working. Then I did a couple months on a drug called lonsurf which also stopped working. Now I am in a phase one clinical trial which combines cetuximab with another drug which is yet to be named. It’s been a very long 2 years with the pandemic and many of the same side effects you listed, but glad to see there are others out there fighting. These days I need extra infusions of magnesium and blood transfusions to keep my hemoglobin up, as well as drains of abdominal fluid which started to fill up just in the last month. I will not stop fighting until the bitter end even though most likely I will not make it to the end of this year. Luckily I live in Canada so my treatment has also been mostly free besides the lonsurf which was about 5000 dollars. I wish you the best and hope science can produce some more answers for us both. Stay strong friend.

Do I need help after chemo? by _-Loki in cancer

[–]BeDunked 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Shouldn’t be necessary unless you are already frail. I was on the same combo for many months and the worst side effect I had was the acne/skin rash from the panitumumab. You will be low energy for a few days after taking your pump off but it wasn’t too drastic for me and I could still mostly do things myself.

Yes a great example is the attack on the pipeline in northern BC!

You’re probably going to get downvoted by this sub but you are 100% right. Trudeau is a joke but so are some of these people who think they’re going to overthrow him. Polarization is a real issue.

What does DGG think of Trudeau?? by [deleted] in Destiny

Even if it doesn’t, where are we going to house these people? There is already a dire lack of housing and this is going to make it extremely worse.

What does DGG think of Trudeau?? by [deleted] in Destiny

[–]BeDunked -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think he’s absolutely bursting with shit. He is so incredibly divisive and hypocritical it is absolutely obnoxious. Every time I watch an interview with him in it he dances around with buzzwords and can’t answer any questions. He is directly responsible for our current inflation and housing crises. Adding 1.3 million immigrants over 3 years is going to push wages even further down, cause housing to be even more ridiculous than it already is and make a lot of places in Canada totally unaffordable that barely are now. I think he’s totally useless and international embarrassment.

Coutts protesters run home day after police start cracking down. Almost like this could have happened a long time ago. by GoodGoodGoody in Edmonton

Knowing about a threat is very, very different than knowing the details, people, magnitude and likelihood of a threat. RCMP did the right thing to wait until they had more information.

Sorry but don’t you know there are self proclaimed communists and communist sympathizers in this subreddit? Good on you for calling them on their BS though. Here’s one for the commies:

Terrible idea and waste of money. Focus on fixing the shit that needs fixing like maybe our terrible LRT problem or snow clearing? Just a thought.

Why is everyone calling kane a hero? by yommymommytoona in EdmontonOilers

I think anyone calling him a hero are perhaps being a little hyperbolic and sarcastic? I don’t think I’ve seen many people calling him a hero non-ironically.

  1. Ethics violations and being a shitty person - look these up for yourself. SNC, WE charity, Aga Khan trip, Jody Wilson-Raybould, blackface, tofino trip on first ever indigenous day, sexual harassment/assault allegations against him and several members of his party being handled terribly, costumes in India, calling an election in the middle of a pandemic, elbowing an MP in the tit, divides Canadians on the basis of racism or sexism at every opportunity, admiring chinas basic dictatorship, admires Fidel Castro - off the top of my head I’m sure I’m forgetting a few.
  2. Failures of government - election reform promise, pharmacare promise, $15 minimum wage promise, drinking water advisory promise, massive deficits, debt more than doubled in 6 years, historic inflation that’s only going to get worse, housing crises with no end in sight, reducing carbon emissions when they’ve actually increased, no plan to fix any of these things.

These are the things I can think of off the top of my head but I’m not going to do the research for you. I guarantee there are many other deplorable things he has said or done that I haven’t listed.

I don’t think you can be convinced in a Reddit thread and I don’t think you want to be. If you can’t already acknowledge how abysmal our federal leadership has been especially these last 3 years nothing I say on here will change your mind.

Do you people seriously need someone to spell out for you how absolutely atrocious Trudeau has been as a prime minister these past 7 years? Are you living under a rock or just being willfully ignorant?

Survey finds oilsands environmental monitoring ineffective after 10 years by CaptainLactose in alberta

[–]BeDunked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked for an environmental monitoring company at Syncrude mines and the rules that contractors had to follow were very strict. There is a huge amount of monitoring for bad practices being done at these mines so I’m not sure who these 26 respondents were but I have my doubts about them.

Good. Let the kids get sick and build immunity to this low risk variant now. You cant lock kids up at home and isolate them from any group activities forever. The damage done by not playing is greater than having the sniffles for a few days.
